Abstract
Balancing the nutritional intake for a fast-food menu, Mary Brown, is addressed in this research by utilizing linear programming techniques. Fast-food establishments are faced with preparing meals that fit the acceptable daily intake of nutrients as well as pleasing customer preferences. The goal of this research is to formulate a linear programming model that can be used to help choose meal combinations that optimize nutritional balance. The model considers various constraints such as caloric intake, protein, fat, carbohydrate, vitamins, and sugar to ensure the selected meals adhere to nutritional standards. Following this approach, the study aims to provide a practical solution for Mary Brown to enhance the nutritional quality of its products, thereby promoting healthy food intake among its customers. Linear programming techniques are used to maximize the number of menu items, which can lead to more healthy food options for the consumers. The diet problem in this case is solved using Microsoft Excel Solver and an optimal solution is found. The results of this study can help Mary Brown create menus for health-oriented customers without
