Abstract
This study investigates the potential therapeutic benefits of using cats as a medium of stress reduction among the members of Kolej PERMATA Insan (KPI). Stress has become a prevalent concern in contemporary society, particularly among students and young adults, and there is a growing interest in alternative approaches to alleviate stress and improve mental well-being. Cats, known for their calming presence and therapeutic potential, have gained popularity as emotional support animals. This research aims to assess the impact of cat interaction on stress levels and overall psychological well-being within the specific context of KPI. Based on qualitative research methodology and data analysis, the findings will focus on KPI involving students and staff. Early research found that the majority agreed that cats can be a therapeutic medium for stress problems. However, further research needs to be carried out to examine the level of stress that can be treated with this method. The study also suggested and encouraged the community to love pets prudently such as ensuring the priority of loving family and neighbors. It requires campaigns, dialogue sessions and programs in communities in cities through the collaboration of veterinary departments, health departments and private agencies.
