In the current era of globalization and technological development, society is seen to be facing various challenges. Along with this development, increasing in various problems occurred especially those related to moral decay. This matter is worrying and is seen to have a negative impact on the well -being of human
life. Therefore, understanding the concept of Islamic-based human development (PIBI) needs to be emphasized so that can lead to the harmonious life. Thus, this study aims to identify the worldview of PIBI within a study of past studies. The study hereby sets two main objectives namely, first, to identify and analyze past studies related to Islamic-based human development; and second, construct the worldview of PIBI based on the findings obtained through the referenced studies. To achieve these objectives, document review methods are used for data collection by applying content analysis methods for data analysis. The results
found that the worldview of PIBI is characterized by four main things namely, (i) al-Qur’an and al-Sunnah as the main sources; (ii) aspects of PIBI include spiritual, intellectual, emotional, physical, and social (RIEJS); (iii) the PIBI process as early as human life and empowerment through various mediums; also
(iv) guided by the seven main principles of Islamic-based development (PBI).
