المحتوى الإخباري لنشرة أخبار العاشرة بتلفزيون سلطنة عمان: دراسة تحليلية

The changes that took place in the Omani television recently, impose on researchers the need to analyze the content of its news bulletin, and explore the reflection of these changes on the news bulletin. This study aims to analysis the content of the news bulletin in Omani television. It seeks to define the media mission and extract its main features by using the sampling survey methodology. To achieve the objective, the researchers analyzed the content of a sample consisted of (30) of 10 p.m news bulletins for a total of 12 hours and 15 minutes), which were chosen based on a satellite week. The chosen sample was from April 2, 2013 to November 20, 2013. The main findings of this paper are that there was a rise in the political news compared to other topics. The security news was outperformed other topics due to the Arab spring. Regarding international news economic news was in the lead. In conclusion, this study recommended creation of balance of news events. Additionally, a revision of the deployment of the news art styles of Oman Television is recommended.
