Abstract

The study aimed to identify the use of educational portal in the departments of the Islamic sciences institutes in the Sultanate of Oman. The researcher used the descriptive approach, and designed a questionnaire consisting of (38) paragraphs in three areas; (administrative, cognitive, technical), and verified its credibility and stability. A sample of (91) persons representing the study community, in different positions in the institutes; Director of the Institute, the Assistant Director, the teachers and the social statisticians in those institutes. The arithmetical averages, standard deviations and grade were extracted, and the Monofilament Anova (ANOVA) was tested for two independent samples. The findings showed that the sample of the study estimates the use of the educational gate in the institutes’ departments came to a small extent. The study recommended improving the Internet in all Islamic institutes, and the need to activate the use of the educational portal in various fields in the institutes.
