The advancement of technology in dentistry has led to many issues related to Shariah for muslim patient and dentist. The demand of aesthetic dentistry is increasing among patients, to improve their dental appearance rather than functional need. The objective of this paper was to discuss the aesthetic treatment involving correction of malocclusion and elective root canal treatment based on Islamic principles and relates it to clinical evidence. A 22-year-old male requested to correct his mild malocclusion via fixed prostheses. In order to achieve the normal occlusion, a sound tooth needs an elective endodontic to realign the position. Final all ceramic crowns will be placed on both central incisors to correct his malocclusion and improve his appearance. This paper will discuss the issue of treatment need according to Shariah, clinical indication, evidence-based and patients right to choose treatment options. As a conclusion, a dentist should have basic knowledge of Islamic principle in order to guide them to Shariah-compliance practice. 2017 American Scientific Publishers All rights reserved.
