Abstract
Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) is components of ink manufacture. This component is volatile and harmful to the environment and health. The research aims to create an alternative to environmentally friendly ink made from organic waste. This study used an experimental method. The process of making the ink is done by mixing carbon pigment of snake fruit seed, dried leaf, and wood with ink-making material such as gum Arab, aquadestt, alcohol and PEG. Data analysis using organoleptic test. The results showed that dried leaf is best renewable ink materials basic on the value of density, viscosity, and grey in levels. Optimum condition that meet the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) are ink with density value of 0.95 g/cm3, a viscosity value of 1.14 cP, a grey level of 80%, as well as having an appropriate discharge power as the ink maker whiteboard.
