Teknik Penceritaan Hadis Naratif Dalam Sahih al-Bukhari

The narrative technique or presentation is an effective technique to deliver the ideas, inspiration, materials, characters, plots, and story backgrounds in written texts as it can influence the reader’s mind and understanding. Thus, we found that the text of the Quran and hadith has pioneered the narrative technique over the last 1400 years which can be seen through the stories in the Quran and hadith that presented with the outstanding language and its style. Yet, the narrative technique in the encyclopedia of Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukharī or Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim has dominated by the words of the Prophet PBUH which are classified as wisdom, advice, ibrah, maui'zah, and gentle reminders in very high language values. Hence, this article aims to study the narrative technique in the hadiths narrated by al-Bukhari as a sample study. This study is a qualitative study which is using descriptive analysis, to analyze the data generated from the encyclopedia of Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukharī to identify the existing techniques of narrative in Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukharī and categorize the types of narrative techniques by coding. The data had discussed in detail to identify the narrative technique and its types in the hadith narrated by al-Bukhari. The study summarizes the findings that show the description techniques, repetition techniques, dialogue techniques, and amthal techniques that are used frequently in hadiths narrated by al-Bukhari.
