Abstract
Nowadays, humans are highly dependent on electricity for their daily activities; hence the electricity providers worldwide are experiencing problems meeting the demand, particularly using the existing transmission line facilities. The main factor that limits the transmission delivery capability is the conductors’ temperature limit. To have new transmission line facilities would be impossible due to economic and environmental reasons. Various available techniques to increase the electricity delivery capability of the transmission lines would require a significant financial investment. Meanwhile, rain is one of the greatest gifts from Allah for all livings and has been mentioned multiple times in the Quran to benefit humanity. By integrating the relevant revealed (Naqli) and the non-revealed (Aqli) knowledge on the topic, this paper would shift the traditional understanding of the benefit of rain and highlight the advantage of rain for the electrical energy delivery process. The rain may provide cooling effects on the conductors depending on the amount and time of the rainfall. Considering its impact would be a free-investment solution to enhance the electrical energy delivery of a short transmission line. A simple mathematical study indicates that rain may allow up to 5% additional electrical energy delivery during rainy conditions.
