Abstract
This research aims to investigate how contemporary societies utilize Prophetic Hadiths to promote self-reliance as a viable strategy for alleviating poverty, through an analysis of the impact of small enterprises on economic independence and self-sufficiency. The issue addressed by this research is the lack of a culture of self-reliance and economic independence in many communities, which often leads to increased dependency on aid and higher poverty rates. Considering contemporary economic development challenges, there is a pressing need to explore sustainable methods grounded in the Prophetic tradition to promote values of individual effort and entrepreneurship. This research aims to provide a practical model for activating self-reliance, utilizing Prophetic texts to support small enterprises as an effective means of achieving self-sufficiency and reducing poverty levels. This study employs an inductive methodology for the collection and categorization of Prophetic Hadiths related to self-reliance and trade, alongside an analytical approach for the comprehension and interpretation of these Prophetic Hadiths. The findings suggest that promoting the principle of self-reliance, as articulated in the Prophetic Hadiths, can substantially alleviate
poverty and reinforce economic independence, particularly by encouraging the growth of small enterprises, which are pivotal to economic and social development. The research provides a practical framework derived from Prophetic Hadiths to enhance economic sustainability across contemporary societies. It presents an effective approach for alleviating poverty and improving quality of life.
