Authenticity of Hadith in Sunan Abu Dawud: Funerals Chapter (Number Hadith 3101 To 3200)

Hadith is Muslims' second source of Islamic law principles. In debating Islamic law, both the Quran and Hadith have the authority of legal sources. The use of hadith among Muslims has gotten so casual that the use of fake hadith has become a habit within the ummah Islam. Learning Hadith is necessary because knowledge plays an important role in maintaining the integrity of hadith used in daily life. Furthermore, the goal of this study was to provide an overview and review of the hadith on the benefits of learning. There are still hadiths that we have not explored, and we must continue our investigation because there are several hadiths in Sunan Abu Dawud that describe funerals in greater detail. This research seeks to analyze statically the status of Hadith Sahih, hadith Hassan, and Hadith Dhaif in Sunan Abu Dawud in funeral chapter. When doing that way, we can be certain that the Book of Sunan Abu Dawud contains not just authentic hadiths, but also weak and other hadiths. However, to achieve this goal, qualitative methods were used in this study. Sunan Abu Dawud's hadith on "corpses" provides a through overview of Islamic burial practices and doctrines. Corpse preparation, prayer, funeral rites, and following of manners and laws are among the topics covered. This study will help individuals and the Muslim community comprehend correct death practices. Aside from that, this research can be beneficial to a wide range of people, particularly those studying takhrij or wanting to learn more about hadith in depth.
