Persepsi dan Aktifitas Ekonomi Penganut Tarekat Qodiriyyah Wan Naqsyabandiyyah Berjan Purworejo Jawa Tengah

Congregation is an important teaching to follow in the midst of increasingly widespread modernity in this century which has had a more materialistic and individualistic impact on humans. So the teachings of the tarekat are very much needed in the development of the people's economy which aims to improve economic ethics, in essence the teachings of the tarekat are more focused on teaching their followers to stay away from worldly things, but in practice many tarekat followers are found with large economic endeavors. This research wants to find out how the economic efforts carried out by TQN Berjan Purworejo adherents, most of them are successful in their business, but they remain confident and consistent in carrying out the rituals of the TQN Berjan order. This research is a qualitative research with limitations on TQN Berjan throughout Central Java. The source of the data in this study is field data obtained through interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study explain that in their daily lives TQN adherents Berjan Purworejo run the economy in order to fulfill the family's living needs. The adherents carry out the attitude of tasamuh and tawadhu' but do not have a worldly attitude, which means that they do not justify all methods of doing business, such as not justifying what Allah SWT has forbidden. vice versa. In essence, followers of the TQN Berjan Purworejo order do not interpret the meaning of the economy in a narrow way which can prevent them from becoming professional businessmen as in practice there are economic actors in Central Java who are also successful followers of the Order but remain consistent in carrying out the teachings of the congregation.
