dc.description.abstract | Education is important in human life because it can develop human potential to be in a good direction even the importance of education also discussed in the Qur’an through the potential of humans given by Allah SWT which are hearing (sam’), sight (baṣar) and heart (fu’ãd). These human potentials must be maximizing the usage through Islamic education perspective which is not only developing human’s intellectual but also perform in their spiritual (iman) and attitude (akhlak). Therefore, a study conducted on the title of “The Applications Concept of Sam’, Baṣar and Fu’ãd in Integrated Holistic Education System (IHES) at JAIS School” helps to know the relation of these potentials in integrated and holistic system applied by Selangor Religious Institution (JAIS). The purpose of this research is to analyze the concept of human potential sam’, baṣar and fu’ãd applied in IHES at JAIS school. Thus, this study has been conducted using qualitative method which focuses on library research, document analysis and interview session to obtain the information needed as well as conducted a questionnaire to support and enhance the study. The findings showed that the concept of sam’, baṣar and fu’ãd in Al-Qur’an is about humans would acknowledge Allah SWT (ma’rifatullah) when they acknowledge themselves (ma’rifatunnafs). It was found that IHES adheres firmly to the principle of self-knowledge by developing human potential development module which consist of 23 potentials. In addition, findings of the study which focus of IHES in developing students’ potentials has been showed in three aspects which are curriculum, teacher and assessment. The study has the implications that these three aspects had fulfil the needs of JAIS in developing students’ potentials. However, improvements and solutions are needed to overcome issues and challenges as well as enhancing the application and management system. | |
