Abstract
The present research seeks to analyze the rhetorical tools employed in the construction of poetic imagery within Arabic poetry. It aims to identify how poets utilize these tools to create expressive mental images that possess significant aesthetic impact. This study adopts a descriptive and analytical approach to examine the relevant poetic texts systematically. This analysis examines a variety of poetic examples in which poets employ different rhetorical devices, such as simile, metaphor, and metonymy, to understand how poetic images are created. The selection of these examples follows an inductive approach aimed at identifying key features of image-building tools. By studying several poetic models and analyzing them based on literary criteria, we can gain insight into the construction of poetic imagery. Highlight the role that image-building tools play in shaping meaning and developing aesthetic dimensions in poetic texts. This topic was chosen because there is a lack of studies focused on individual image-building tools. Additionally, I aim to explore how these tools can be used to express various types of content, including descriptive, emotional, and enthusiastic expressions. The significance of research is that it helps clarify the role of image-building tools in shaping poetic imagery and understanding their impact on the audience. Understanding these tools is fundamental to the study of Arabic poetry in general and allows us to shed light on the interactions between language and poetic art in expressing different human experiences. The research also provides an academic contribution in the field of rhetorical and critical studies and is a reference for those interested in analyzing literary texts from a modern rhetorical perspective.
