Penyebaran Fahaman Bertentangan Akidah Islam Di Media Sosial Dari Perspektif Undang-undang Dan Syariah Di Malaysia

Nowadays, Muslims are often agitated by various issues involving the
threats towards the Muslim faith and Islamic thought. The issue of
apostasy, atheism, agnotisme, liberalism, and various ideologies which are
against the true Islamic teaching have spread and threatened their beliefs
and faith. Therefore, this article aims to reveal the reality of this threat
among Muslims, particularly in social media. Besides, this article will also
examine the Malaysian legal provisions relating to the contempt of faith
that occurs particularly in the cyberspace. Generally, this study employs a
qualitative method that uses a library-based approach and desktop review
as the data sources are obtained through literature review from books,
journal articles, related portals, cases, and observations from social media.
The literature review aims to explain the legal provisions relating to
contempt of religion of Islam and the spreading of ideology against Islam
that threathening the faith of Muslim; while observations in social media
are conducting to analyze the real scenario that happened in Malaysia.
The study found that religious knowledge and awareness of the spread of
ideology against Islam are very important to prevent Muslims from being
deceived by the ideologies. Law enforcement could be the solution to this
issue and can help to maintain the sanctity of Islam.
