Abstract

This quantitative study discusses the impact of administrative creativity as a mediating variable, in the relationship between the use of management information systems and administrative performance, for school principals in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman. Despite the interest of the Ministry of Education in the development of human resources, especially teachers, school principals and administrators; several studies indicated that there are some shortcomings, weaknesses and challenges that limit improving the quality of school performance. The researcher monitored some of those obstacles between administrative, financial, and technical, or related to aspects of training, and the use of technology and creativity. The researcher used the descriptive survey method and applied the cross-sectional method in collecting data. In light of studies, the researcher designed a questionnaire consisting of (60) statements distributed in three variables. The size of the study population was (7949) teachers. A random sample of (367) was selected. Statistical manipulations using the (SPSS) for the descriptive analysis and (SmartPLS) program to perform the Measurement Model to assess the validity and stability, and the Structural Model to test the structural relationships between the study variables. The findings revealed that: the presence of a direct impact of management information systems on administrative performance, and the presence of an indirect impact of management information systems on administrative performance through administrative creativity, which means that administrative creativity plays the role of mediator in this relationship, and the researcher interpreted the results and discussed them according to the theoretical framework and data Previous studies. The research included a number of recommendations for officials in the Directorate of Education in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate and some suggestions for future studies.
