Abstract
This research aims to develop a mobile application for home maintenance. The Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) requests the cooperation of the Selangor government to solve the problem of the Taman Seri Berembang flat building which is now in a critical state. A block in the 22-year-old flat now has serious cracks and is not safe to live in. According to the minister, KPKT is ready to build new settlements for the affected residents, however, the ministry needs to get cooperation from the state government. In the meantime, 30 houses were found to have severe cracks and damage, therefore these 30 families had to be moved to any Selangorku house nearby. Although there are numerous causes for this, one of them can be the difficulty in hiring somebody with experience repairing home issues. Moreover, finding qualified individuals for in-home maintenance work has become more difficult in recent years. Therefore, a mobile application named "HOMERESC" Home Service System was developed to address all the issues and ensure the welfare of users. The name ‘HOMERESC’ was chosen to represent this application's ability to "rescue" all damaged homes. An Agile methodology has been used to build this system, ensuring the research’s goals are met and the development process goes smoothly. Hopefully, the HOMERESC mobile application could assist users in finding qualified individuals to perform house maintenance.
