Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program Management of PT Madubaru PG-PS Madukismo through Bantuan Modal Kerja (Working Capital Support) Program in 2022

Corporate social responsibility refers to a company's commitment to enhancing the local community's well-being by implementing business policies and allocating corporate resources. PT Madubaru PG-PS Madukismo is a sugarcane agroindustry firm committed to increasing its involvement in empowering and strengthening the economic and social conditions of the community and the environment. This qualitative descriptive study aims to obtain an overview of the implementation of social and environmental responsibilities at PT Madubaru through the Bantuan Modal Kerja (Working Capital Support) program. The research findings indicate that PT Madubaru executed the corporate social responsibility stages, including preparation, implementation, evaluation, and reporting. Furthermore, during its execution, the program
receives support from the top management, and the allocation of help is determined based on the prevailing policy. Transparency and accountability are achieved by the submission of reports. Determining territorial coverage is based on relevant policies, while monitoring and evaluation activities are conducted monthly. This program is long-term, and its positive effects can be seen in the community’s sense of belonging. Nevertheless, PT Madubaru encountered issues related to the late payments
of installments by beneficiaries. These challenges were addressed through continuous visits and active engagement of the beneficiaries in exhibitions. For enhanced efficacy, PT Madubaru can collaborate with external entities to administer the program and establish stricter implementation and beneficiary selection rules.
