dc.description.abstractThis study aims to identify the relationship between three administrative leadership styles (autocratic, democratic, and permissive), and the elements of organizational climate in Libyan secondary schools from the perspective of teachers. The researcher has applied the analytical descriptive methodology, and to obtain the study objectives, the researcher has prepared a questionnaire as the main data collection tool in this study. The study population consists of 55 schools from the cities of west coast in Libya, the questionnaires have been distributed to a study sample consists of 600 participants (teachers). The Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) was used to analyze the collected data of the study. The study concluded various results, and the most important results are: There is a statistical relationship between the autocratic style and the elements of organizational climate: (decision-making, human resources development, managerial control) and this relationship is negatively proportional. It means that the autocratic style is negatively affecting the elements of organizational climate, except the connection element, where its relationship is direct proportional; it means that the managers of schools who having autocratic style are caring about the elements of connections. The study showed that manager’s interest is focused on implementing their orders and listen to them and no more. The study showed that there is an effect or relationship between the democratic style and the elements of organizational climate, and this is a positive relationship. There was no relationship or influence between the permissive style and the elements of organizational climate in general, regardless the rewards and incentives element, which has a relationship or impact with permissive style. There was no prevailed leadership style; therefore all three leadership styles are prevailed. The results of this study showed that the democratic style is the most important and major factor on emphasizing the importance of the elements of organizational climate in creating good organization climate, whereas the autocratic style forms the second factor and the permissive style forms the third factor. The study has set a number of recommendations, and the most important recommendations are: Allowing the managers in secondary school more administrative and technical authorities that let them to exercise leadership styles effectively, and specify a number of scientific and technical principles and standards when selecting the managers for secondary schools in particular.en_US
