BA is one of the most important components in food as an indicator of freshness especially histamine due to its capability to cause health issues and food intoxication. In many sensing applications, the development of biosensor electrodes has been widely used towards this discovery. The latest advances are in the utilization of carbon nanomaterials in biosensor electrodes and enzymatic methods for electro-analytical sensing devices. The studies in quantifying the amounts of BA have been widely investigated as its level content can determine the quality and safety of food presence today.
