The purpose of the research was to identify the profile of emotional quotient (EQ) based on e-sport among gifted and talented students in PERMATA Insan College. This research was conducted at PERMATA Insan College, a gifted and talented school in Malaysia. The quantitative data was obtained through a Google Form Emotional Competence Inventory (ECI) which was distributed to 92 respondents. The study findings show that there is a significant relationship between emotional quotient (EQ) and e-sports, indicating that students with higher emotional intelligence trend to perform better in competitive gaming. This reinforces the notion that emotional intelligence encompassing self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skill play a crucial role in shaping a player’s ability to make strategic decisions, collaborate effectively and manage stress in high-pressure gaming environments. The findings of this study suggest that engagement in e-sport may serve as a supportive platform for the emotional wellbeing of gifted and talented students in Malaysia.en-USEmotion quotiente-sport gamegifted studentsEmotional Intelligence (EQ) Profile of Gifted Students Engaged in E-Sporttext::conference output::conference proceedings::conference paper482489
