In accordance with Islamic principles, the idea of housing fits into the more expansive Maqasid al Shariah framework, which relates to the more important aims and ideals of Islamic law. The objectives of Maqasid al Shari’ah are to advance social welfare, justice, and human welfare. Maqasid al Shariah emphasises the significance of providing everyone, regardless of their socioeconomic standing, with suitable and affordable accommodation when it comes to housing. Housing is acknowledged as a fundamental human right, and inclusive, sustainable, and peaceful communities are promoted. The objective of this study are (1) To explore housing through the lens of Islamic perspective (Maqasid Al-Shari'ah) and (2) To explore equitable and resilient community through housing.
