It began developing the Individual Collection in 2007 when the Library began receiving resources contributed in large numbers from individual and scholars, as one of the reference collection in the Library. There is a specific policy that have been developed for reference in the management of the collection. The policy contains the background of the collection, objectives of the establishment of the collection, criteria of acceptable materials, units involved in collection management, and collection disposal procedures. To date, there are 11 Individual Collection that have been developed by the Library for scholars from within and outside USIM. The collection has been processed for reference by Library users.
