The knowledge and experience of sulh officers could influence the smoothness of sulh process as well as the success of the process. The objective of the research is to identify, among others, the competency of female Sulh officers in handling and resolving the “mal” cases, the level of confidence of the officers and the goodness and the weakness in terms of skills amongst the female sulh officers. Other than that, another objective is to identify as well as to compare the competency of female sulh officers in terms of period of service between the sulh officers from the Joint Scheme States (Federal) and Non Joint States (States) in Malaysia.
