This is because dictionaries contain words needed by language learners. However, many people do not know how to use the dictionaries appropriately, particularly amongst the students. Each student uses dictionary according to his / her needs. Therefore, this study aims at investigating the pattern of dictionary usage among students of Tamhidi in Accounting and Muamalat course especifically dictionary used in learning Arabic language. The study focuses on bilingual dictionary use such as Arabic-Malay dictionary and Arabic-English dictionary. Quantitative method (through survey) was used to identify the diversity patterns of dictionaries usage during the process of learning Arabic. The survey was distributed to respondents who are students of Tamhidi Accounting and Muamalat. The study found that the diversity patterns of dictionaries usage affects students in learning Arabic.
