This herb is quite rare to be found eaten by people nowadays because of its bitter taste eventhough it has health benefits. This research was conducted to extract and evaluate the phytochemical properties of this plant leaves extract. The extraction was carried out using hot water and cold- water extraction process. Qualitative phytochemical test exhibited that the leaves extract contained saponins, polyphenol, terpenoids, triterpenoids, phytosterol and reducing sugar. The results indicated that Premna foetida leaves are high with antioxidant compounds.
