The sample for the study consisted of 474 vocational and technical students from Industrial Training Institutes. The respondents were requested to complete a questionnaire on a voluntary basis with the help of the counsellors in the Industrial Training Institutes. The instrument used in this research was the Work Readiness Inventory (2010). Analysis of the data was computed using the Statistical package SPSS. Results of the study indicated that gender, having received counselling related to career issuesand working experience do not show significant impact onwork readiness. However, the students who have had counselling related to career issuesshow a higher mean in work readiness compared to those who never meet with counsellorsfor career issues. The factor, level of study, showedsignificant impact on work readiness. The finding also indicates that the level of work readiness among vocational and technical students is moderate.
