The aim is to present the most important purposes and characteristics of the hadiths that mention the surah’s presence. This is to facilitate contemplation and understanding of what is meant by the surah. The study also aims to determine the extent of the correctness or incorrectness of the hadiths and attain the Qur’anic benefits from them to raise people’s awareness of the dangers of publishing mawḍūʿ or incorrect hadiths about surah al-Ahqaf. Further, the study seeks to clarify the consequences of indifference in those hadiths and explain the degree of reliability of the hadiths that mention the surah. The study’s findings are expected to help prevent the dissemination of incorrect hadiths about surahs in the Holy Qur’an, including surah al-Ahqaf. The researcher adopted the inductive method to collect the hadiths that mention the details of surah al-Ahqaf. The analytical method was used to extract the most important purposes and characteristics of the surah and present them in this research. The study concludes that no authentic hadith has been proven concerning this surah.
