This study explores how Madrasah Alsagoff Al-Arabiah can better support its students through nonacademic and digital skill development that equips them for real life, meaningful contribution to society, and future careers — all while remaining grounded in Islamic values. The research focuses on four key objectives: to identify the non-academic and digital skills students value most; to explore how these skills empower students beyond school; to assess how well the current curriculum supports holistic development; and to suggest improvements based on student voice. Using a mixed-methods approach, the study will collect data through surveys and focus group discussions with students across all secondary levels. Quantitative responses will be analysed statistically, while qualitative feedback will be coded thematically. It is expected that students will express strong interest in practical skills such as public speaking, content creation, time management, and financial literacy, and will seek more opportunities for student-led, hands-on learning. The research aims to inform future enrichment programmes that balance academic learning with real-world preparedness, personal growth, and meaningful societal engagement.en-USNon-academic skillsDigital skillsStudent aspirationsHolistic development.Beyond Academics: Exploring Student Aspirations for Real-World Skill Development in Schooltext::conference output::conference proceedings::conference paper369374
