Until today, many fatwas have been decided at the state and national levels, but to what extent is the level of society acceptance of the fatwa.Thus, this article aims to highlight past studies related to the acceptance of fatwas among the Muslim societyin Malaysia. Qualitative research methods through content analysis study design are used. Data collected from materials such as books, articles in journals, proceedings, theses and dissertations were analyzed descriptively. The results show that the level of fatwa acceptance among the Muslim societyin Malaysia is stilllow due to three main factors, which areunreachable fatwasto the knowledge of thesociety, confusion over fatwas and fatwa discussions as well as fatwa references are not included in detail.At the end of the study, the researcherssubmitted some suggestions to improve the level of fatwa acceptance among the Malaysian societyotherLiterature Review, acceptance, fatwa, Malaysia,Article4562241
