Religious extremism is persistent global challenge, despite the presence of numerous deradicalization approaches, owing to the insufficient understanding of religious extremism and deradicalization approaches on a comprehensive level. This research paper aims to provide a comprehensive review of the literature on various approaches to deradicalize individuals engaged in religious extremism. Through an analysis of existing research, scholarly articles, reports, and studies, this paper seeks to contribute to a better understanding of the multifaceted nature of religious extremism and the diverse strategies and interventions that have been proposed and implemented to counter it. The review includes an analysis of the underlying theories, methodologies, and outcomes associated with these approaches.
