Although this discipline has been introduced for a long time in higher learning institutions, but the application and understanding of this discipline is still low among students who study this subject, and among lecturers whose convey the content of balaghah with traditional method and approach. This study aims to identify the existing learning strategies of Arabic rhetoric in IPTA and IPTS which has been implemented by lecturers during the teaching and learning of Arabic rhetoric. 10 lecturers representing five IPTA/IPTS being selected as respondents of the study. To identify the learning strategies and practices implemented by lecturers, a qualitative study will be used by interviewing the lecturers using interview instrument consisting of 8 open -ended questions and analyzing data by constructing themes, categories, and subcategories.
