As the school continues its dual mission of developing students who excel both religiously and academically, it becomes essential to understand how students today experience this vision, and what forms of support they need to thrive in both pathways. This study explores how students interpret the concept of dual excellence, defined here as the balanced pursuit of academic achievement and religious commitment, and the challenges they face in navigating both. Adopting a qualitative approach, the research involved survey questionnaires and focus group discussions with Secondary 3–4 and Diploma 1–2 students. The data sheds light on recurring obstacles, gaps in support, and the students’ perspectives on how the school currently helps or can further support them in these two key areas. Rather than critiquing, this study offers constructive insight into how Madrasah Alsagoff can evolve to meet contemporary student needs, while preserving its noble mission for generations to come. The findings aim to inform actionable recommendations for improving support systems, enhancing curriculum direction, and empowering students in their journey to become academically equipped and religiously grounded Muslim women.en-USDual excellenceMadrasah educationStudent supportCurriculum enhancementPreserving Legacy, Empowering Futures: Overcoming Student Challenges to Uphold Madrasah Alsagoff’s Visiontext::conference output::conference proceedings::conference paper383392
