Publication Hamuga (Murojaah Memorization Game): A Scratch-Based Game to Boost Murojaah Motivation(Kolej PERMATA Insan, 2025) ;Aisyah Ade Alhafizh ;Aisyah Nuril Qolbi ;Qonita Dzakiya RamadhaniSalsabila Taqya KamilMurojaah is an essential activity for Qur’an memorizers, as it helps them maintain their memorization. According to various studies, Qur’an memorizers contribute not only to spiritual development but also significantly impact education, professionalism, and character building. Becoming a Qur’an memorizer requires consistency in performing murojaah. However, murojaah can be challenging due to its monotonous nature. Therefore, HAMUGA (Hafalan Murojaah Game) was developed to assist Qur’an memorizers in their murojaah practice. The study was conducted at Ar-Rohmah Putri International Islamic Boarding School. The research population consisted of 7th-grade students, batch 5, from Junior High School Ar-Rohmah Putri International Islamic Boarding School. A sample of 20 students was randomly selected from the population using random sampling techniques. The research design employed the SDLC prototype method, aiming to provide a general overview of how the system would operate. HAMUGA (Hafalan Murojaah Game) was developed using Scratch, a visual web-based programming platform used for designing games and animations. HAMUGA (Hafalan Murojaah Game) was tested using the System Usability Scale (SUS), a method to measure the usability of the designed application. The SUS testing results showed that HAMUGA achieved an average SUS score of 58. Based on these results, it can be concluded that HAMUGA (Hafalan Murojaah Game) still requires further improvements. However, 50% of the 20 students agreed that HAMUGA (Hafalan Murojaah Game) increased their motivation to perform murojaah. This indicates that HAMUGA (Hafalan Murojaah Game) is acceptable to users and has the potential to enhance motivation and interest in practicing murojaah.
