Publication Analysis Of Delta Binaural Beats And White Noise As Digital Therapy To Improve Sleep Quality In Sman 1 Bawang Students(Kolej PERMATA Insan, 2025) ;Nakeisha Ignatea MalvaChessania Female Asy SyalfinThe high prevalence of sleep disturbances among adolescents can negatively affect their concentration, psychological well-being, and academic performance, thereby requiring effective interventions to improve sleep quality. One commonly applied approach involves the use of auditory stimuli. This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of digital sound-based therapy using delta binaural beats combined with white noise in enhancing adolescents’ sleep quality, measured with the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). A multigroup pretest–posttest experimental design was employed with three intervention groups: silence (S), white noise (WN), and delta binaural beats combined white noise (DWN). The interventions were conducted among 60 students of SMA Negeri 1 Bawang for 30 minutes before bedtime over seven consecutive days. Results showed an overall improvement in sleep quality, indicated by decreased PSQI scores across all groups. The S group demonstrated an average reduction of 2.40 points (24.87%), the WN group 2.00 points (20.94%), and the DWN group the highest at 2.60 points (26.26%). Statistical analysis also confirmed a significant group difference in PSQI score reduction (p = 0.039), with the DWN group ranked as the most effective. Moreover, the DWN group consistently improved both the proportion of respondents with “good” sleep quality and their average sleep duration. Although sound-based interventions show promising potential for improving sleep, further studies with larger samples, longer intervention periods, and additional EEG-based indicators are recommended. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Intellibin 1.0: A Prototype Of An Automated Smart Recycling Bin For Sustainable Waste Management(Kolej PERMATA Insan, 2025) ;Khairul Asyraaf Khairul Azwan ;Wan Muhammad Fahyim Wan Mohd Nazdi ;Faqihah Imtiaz Mohamad Fadzil ;Hannah Safiya Mohd MuharirImproper waste segregation remains a major challenge in waste management, leading to inefficient recycling and environmental pollution. This study presents the development of IntelliBin 1.0, a prototype of a self-isolated smart recycling bin designed to automate the sorting of recyclable materials. The system integrates mechanical design, 3Dprinted components modeled using TinkerCAD, and EV3 LEGO-based mechatronics programmed via EV3 Classroom. Initially, a chemical sensor-based detection system was proposed to classify waste materials; however, technical limitations highlighted its impracticality. As a result, future development (IntelliBin 2.0) will incorporate artificial intelligence (AI)-based image recognition for accurate material classification. The prototype operates by allowing users to insert items via a push-button mechanism, after which the bin segregates waste into appropriate compartments. Additionally, a reward system is embedded to encourage user participation and foster eco-friendly behaviors. Findings demonstrate that IntelliBin 1.0 serves as a functional proof-of-concept for automated waste segregation and provides a scalable foundation for advancing AI-driven recycling solutions. Ultimately, IntelliBin showcases the potential of combining robotics, additive manufacturing, and intelligent systems to promote sustainable waste management practices. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Publication The Dual Effect Of Fear Of Missing Out (FOMO) On Learning Patterns In Students(Kolej PERMATA Insan, 2025) ;Adrian Atsil Ghaisana ;Arsy Kayyasa Wafi Randan ;Gayatri Bhanurasmi Achmad Putri ;Jihan Hafidzah AzariaArina HaqueFear of Missing Out (FoMO) is a psychological phenomenon characterized by anxiety about missing out on valuable experiences, and it is very common among Generation Z students, particularly those active in digital media. Social media platforms reinforce FoMO through trending content that encourages repeated access, both for entertainment and information. While FoMO can stimulate creativity and accelerate learning, excessive exposure risks generating anxiety, social comparison, and decreased concentration. This study aims to determine how Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) affects the learning patterns of MAN 2 Kota Malang students and what impacts FoMO has on their learning patterns. The study is grounded in Erik Erikson’s psychosocial development theory, particularly the identity vs. role confusion stage, where adolescents form identity through social interaction and digital engagement. A mixed-method approach was employed, collecting quantitative data through questionnaires and qualitative data through interviews and observations. Quantitative analysis used a Likert scale to measure FoMO tendencies, while qualitative data were analyzed using Miles & Huberman’s model. The research focuses on the positive side that encourages learning participation and the negative side that disrupts focus and fosters dependence on social media. The findings are expected to serve as a reference for educators and stakeholders in designing strategies to minimize FoMO’s negative impacts while utilizing its positive aspects to enhance students’ engagement and academic achievement - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Under Pressure: Exploring Emotional Intelligence Levels in High-Achieving Students(Kolej PERMATA Insan, 2025) ;Arina Hadirah Binte Suhardi ;Durratun Nafeesa Binte OsmanAliyah Maghfirah Binte SaifullahHigh-achieving students are often seen as emotionally resilient due to their academic success, yet the pressure they face may have hidden emotional consequences. This study investigates the emotional intelligence (EQ) of preuniversity students and examines how academic stress affects their emotional regulation, self-awareness, and wellbeing. An online survey, primarily quantitative with a small qualitative component, was distributed to students across various tertiary pathways in Singapore, including Polytechnic, Junior College (JC), ITE, pre-university madrasah program, International Baccalaureate (IB), and DPI diploma program. The survey featured items adapted from the Schutte Self-Report Emotional Intelligence Test (SSEIT) and the Educational Stress Scale for Adolescents (ESSA) to measure EQ and stress levels. Data were collected from both high-achieving and average-performing students for comparison. Quantitative results will be analyzed using average scoring and basic correlations to explore the relationship between EQ and academic pressure. Qualitative responses to open-ended questions will be thematically coded to identify recurring emotional experiences and coping strategies. It is expected that students reporting higher academic stress will demonstrate lower emotional regulation and increased emotional fatigue. Findings from this study may underscore the importance of integrating emotional literacy into curricula and strengthening emotional support systems for students in high-pressure environments. By understanding how academic demands influence emotional well-being, educators and policymakers can create interventions that foster healthier learning experiences and equip students with strategies to manage stress effectively. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Learning Habits and Daily Routines of Gifted and Talented Students in South Korea: Insights for Holistic Education(Kolej PERMATA Insan, 2025) ;Syamil bin Ahmad Syakir ;Mohammad Asrif Bin Mohd HalimMuhammad Farish Baariq Bin Mohd FarhanGifted and talented students in South Korea are widely recognised for their exceptional academic achievements, supported by one of the most comprehensive gifted education systems in Asia. While policy, curriculum, and institutional structures under the Gifted Education Promotion Act (2000) have been well-documented, less attention has been paid to the everyday study habits and daily routines that underpin these outcomes. Understanding these patterns is essential for identifying practices that balance academic excellence with socio-emotional well-being. This study examines the learning strategies and lifestyle routines of gifted students in South Korea, drawing on peerreviewed literature, policy documents, and case studies from 2000 to 2025. The research has three objectives: (1) to document common learning strategies among Korean gifted students; (2) to analyse the structure of their daily routines, including academic, extracurricular, and leisure activities; and (3) to identify practices that support both academic performance and holistic development. Preliminary findings suggest that Korean gifted students often adopt self-regulated learning strategies, including goal setting, spaced repetition, and collaborative problem-solving, within highly structured daily schedules. These routines typically involve long study hours, participation in competitions, and engagement in enrichment programmes. However, they may also limit rest, reduce opportunities for social interaction, and contribute to stress and perfectionism. The study concludes that while Korea’s learning culture fosters academic rigour, integrating physical activity, creative pursuits, and socio-emotional support into daily routines can enhance student well-being without compromising achievement. Lessons from Korea’s experience may guide the development of more balanced and sustainable gifted education programmes in other Asian contexts, including Malaysia. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Problem Of Polystyrene Container Disposal(Kolej PERMATA Insan, 2025) ;Muhammad Afiq Darwisy Bin Mohd Zuhairil ;Adib Fakhri Bin Shah Rizal ;Ahmad Mu’izzuddin Bin AzmanFara Areanna Binti Mohd FadliIn this fast-paced era of modernization, the use of polystyrene as single-use food containers has become a common practice in daily life. Although it is lightweight, cheap, and practical, the widespread use of polystyrene has triggered various environmental pollution issues. This material is non-biodegradable, contributing to the increase of solid waste. It also contains carcinogens that release toxic substances such as styrene when burned. This not only pollutes the air but also endangers human health and ecosystem balance. The problem statement discussed in this study refers to the negative impacts of polystyrene disposal and the lack of widely used sustainable alternatives among consumers. The objectives of the study are to identify the impacts of polystyrene disposal on the environment, awareness regarding the use of polystyrene food container, and propose innovative alternative materials that are more environmentally friendly and sustainable. This study was conducted through a literature review, analysing various secondary sources such as research journals, scientific articles, and online materials related to polystyrene disposal and plastic waste management. Findings indicate that polystyrene recycling is still inefficient due to food contamination, high costs, and lack of specialized facilities. Consumer awareness was also found to be low. In conclusion, a more comprehensive approach combining innovation and education is essential to reduce dependency on single use packaging and environmental and public health safety. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Publication Nurturing Social Intelligence Through AuthenticSocial Experiences: A Study Of Muslim Gifted And Talented Students(Kolej PERMATA Insan, 2025) ;Nurhannah Syifa’ Binti Khairuddin ;Nur Alya Binti Basri ;Amnah Zanariah Binti Abd Razak ;Amirah Binti ZainunSocial intelligence is often described as the interplay of cognitive abilities that help individuals to understand others and behavioral elements that support wise and effective interaction. Gifted and talented students frequently prefer socializing with older peers or adults yet may struggle to communicate with peers whose cognitive level is comparatively lower. Moreover, the social intelligence of these students is further shaped by cultural and religious expectations. Research suggests that this intelligence can be cultivated through community service programs which provide authentic social experience. While many studies have focused on social skills, research on nurturing social intelligence among Muslim gifted students remains limited. This study therefore, aimed to examine the social intelligence of Muslim gifted and talented students through participation in a community service program. A quantitative approach was employed using an online questionnaire adapted from the MESI instrument, administered survey to final-year students at Kolej PERMATA Insan two months after the program. Out of 48 students, six selfrated themselves as having poor social skills prior to the program. Categorical analysis using SPSS v27 indicated that four students demonstrated high social intelligence, forty-one were at the middle level, and three were at the lower level after participating in the community service program. While no significant gender differences were observed, a significant difference was found by age, with 17-year-old students showing higher levels compared to 16-year-olds. These findings suggest that age may play a role in the development of social intelligence and that community service provides a meaningful platform for its growth. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Publication Exploring Knowledge and Attitudes on Gerontology Among Muslim Gifted and Talented Students(Kolej PERMATA Insan, 2025) ;Marsya Safiyya Mohd Syaiful Azli ;Wan Arisha Amirah Wan Mohd Zamri; Asmuje, N.FMalaysia is currently at a pivotal stage in its demographic transition towards an ageing population. According to the Department of Statistics Malaysia, the population aged 65 years and above is projected for 6.4% within the next 20 years. This demographic shift is expected to place unprecedented demands on the nation’s healthcare and social support systems, underscoring the importance of preparing younger generations for gerontological awareness. While most existing studies have focused on the health status of the elderly, there is limited research examining knowledge and attitudes related to gerontology among youth, who represent the future intellectual and leaders of the nation. Therefore, this study aimed to assess their knowledge and attitudes towards gerontology among Muslim gifted and talented students. A quantitative cross-sectional survey design was employed, and self-administered questionnaires were distributed among secondary students at Kolej PERMATA Insan between June and August 2025. The knowledge component of the instrument was adapted from Palmore’s Facts on Aging Quiz, while the attitude component was adapted from the DREAM Instrument, both contextualized with an Islamic perspective. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 22.0 (IBM, USA). Findings indicated that most students demonstrated moderate levels of knowledge (72.5%) and attitude (76.5%). Spearman’s correlation revealed a significant positive relationship (p < 0.01),
