In addition, this study also will identify demand on dates in Malaysia. Currently, there is a lack of study on prophetic food, especially in Malaysia. The data were collected through survey questionnaires. The sample size of this study was 1739 respondents from various socioeconomic backgrounds, profession, and level of education. The survey was conducted in several states in Peninsular Malaysia in June 2015. Descriptive statistics and crosstab have been used to find the results. The findings showed that Selangor had the most date consumers. The reason is that Selangor is an urban state, and the level of income of respondents from this state is higher compared to other states. Moreover, the level of education and awareness among respondents in Selangor are better compared to other states. This study also showed that people tend to consume dates not only because of religion but also because of health factors. Findings of the study can be used to formulate and develop a systematic supply chain in the dates market. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Pawnbroking in Indonesia started operation early since the Dutch era, and operation with syariah principles since 2003 by PT.Pegadaian (Persero). Pawnbroking in Malaysia had been existed since sultan Malaka era, continued operation with Islamic principles since the 90th, when three pioneers started the operation of pajak gadai Islam, they are Maidam, Yapeim and Bank Rakyat. The research is qualitative, by observing tertiary data on the internet sites of Islamic banking and Islamic finance institutions in Indonesia and Malaysia. The research finds that not all banks provide Islamic pawnbroking. The figures of business operation in present period indicate decreasing in the operations of Islamic pawnbroking in Islamic bank and non-bank, in both countries, Indonesia and Malaysia. Islam recognizes several methods to alleviate the burden of the poor, mainly through financial assistances in the form of alms, endowments, and charity. Without financial literacy, however, the poor may not benefit from these supports effectively. Therefore, this paper proposes wealth management for the poor via a social business approach. If look at Malaysia, Muslim is the majority population and practices Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is a sunnah in order to gain benefit at the end of the day as a Muslim. There is a potential for Malaysian to plant and produce these prophetic fruits due to it availability in small scale. The main purpose of this study is to provide an overview of Malaysia as a hub of planting the prophetic fruits as well as known as sunnah consumption. Methodology is based on review of previous literatures and interview conducted. As recommendation and findings, there is huge potential for planting these prophetic fruits as shown in findings dates palm, figs, pumpkin and watermelon. Economic and religious information will lead to the success of planting these types of fruits. The involvement of government agencies and private sectors is essential in the promotion of planting prophetic fruits to farmers. This study contributes to the literature of planting several prophetic fruits which is available to cultivate, plant and harvest in Malaysia.
