Publication "...And narrate from the children of Israel and there is no harm...": Making sense of the use of isra'iliyyat Muslim scholarship(Usuli Faqih Research Center PLT, 2016) ;Wan Mohd Fazrul Azdi Bin Wan Razali ;Ahmad Yunus Mohd NoorJaffary AwangIslam has a relationship with the other Abrahamic faiths, namely Judaism and Christianity, through the concept of Wiḥdah al-Dīn. This concept affects Islam in many ways. Not only it affects in the principal matters of faith, such as the belief in the other prophets, but it also affects belief in the previous sacred revelations, such as the Tawrāh, Zabūr and Injīl. From this belief in the previous sacred revelations, some Muslims resort to the Isrā’īliyyāt to understand Islam. Nevertheless, to use sources from other religions to understand Islam, specifically in this case of Isrā’īliyyāt, seems confusing and perplexing. Chronologically, polemic on the use of Isrā’īliyyāt had begun since the age of the Prophet Muhammad. This issue is not only restricted to the Muslim circle, but it also prompts questions from the Jews and the Christians as to why Muslims would source the Torah and the Bible to understand Islam. This paper highlights issues related to the use of Isrā’īliyyāt in Muslim scholarship by exposing some positions in the Islamic rulings and the sharī cah justifications for these positions. These positions in the Islamic rulings and its sharīcah justifications are extracted through the use of textual analysis methodology. It is suggested that from understanding these justifications that one can make sense of the use of Isrā’īliyyāt in Muslim Scholarship. It is also suggested that from this principal understanding of the use of Isrā’īliyyāt in Muslim scholarship, the Biblical interpretation in the Islamic contexts should be developed and discussed by the present and future scholars of Muslim-Christian studies. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Domain Specific Concept Ontologies And Text Summarization As Hierarchical Fuzzy Logic Ranking Indicator On Malay Text Corpus(Institute of Advanced Engineering and Science (IAES), 2019) ;Shaiful Bakhtiar bin Rodzman ;Normaly Kamal Ismail ;Nurazzah Abd Rahman ;Syed Ahmad Aljunid ;Zulhilmi Mohamed NorAhmad Yunus Mohd NoorRanking function is a predictive algorithm that is used to establish a simple ordering of documents according to its relevance. This step is critical because the results’ quality of a Domain Specific Information Retrieval (IR) such as Hadith Information Retrieval is fundamentally dependent of the ranking function. A Hierarchical Fuzzy Logic Controller of Mamdani-type Fuzzy Inference System has been built to define the ranking function, based on the Malay Information retrieval’s BM25 Model. The model examines three-inputs (Ontology BM25 Score, Fabrication Rate of Hadith and Shia Rate of Hadith) and four-output values of Final Ranking Score which consist of three triangular membership functions. The proposed system has outperformed the BM25 original score and the Vector Space Model (VM) on 16 queries, while the BM25 original score and Vector Space Model only yield better result in 9 and 2 queries respectively on the P@10, %no measures and MAP. P@10 represent the values of Precision at Rank 10 P@10), %no measures represent the percentage of queries with no relevant documents in the top ten retrieved and MAP represents Mean Average Precision of the queries. The results show the proposed system have capability to demote negative documents and move up the relevant documents in the ranking list and its capability to recall unseen document with the application of ontology in text retrieval. For the future works, the researcher would like to apply the usage of other Malay Semantic elements and another corpus for positive ranking indicator. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Exploring Factors Impacting Of Soul Interruption By Islamic Perspective(IAEME Publication, 2019) ;Zaizul Ab Rahman ;Mazlan Ibrahim ;Ahmad Yunus Mohd Noor ;Azmul Fahimi Kamaruzaman ;Norhayati Rafida A. R.Mohd Izhar Ariff Mohd KashimMindfulness has lost its ability and energy to reflect, think, and analyze the secrets of Allah's s.w.t. The mind is no longer powerful in thinking of the truth and worse is the mind of no power to seek and discover the paths that lead to the goodness, wellbeing and divine truth that can give meaningful life. Sometimes a person is wise to speak on matters of goodness and truth by submitting the arguments from the Qur'an and the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah, but he is unable to practice the knowledge he knows and even his mind becomes fearful and daring to looking for a way to utilize that known knowledge into him. God's Word s.w.t: Individuals become more ignorance and do not care to reflect and analyze the secrets of Allah’s S.W.T. They are no longer interested to think about the good and the bad things which can lead them to a more meaningful life. There are times, an individual is only able to preach well in accordance with Sunnah and Al-Quran verses, but somehow unable to practice the talk, although in the right mind, it is the exact thing to do. Publication Fabricated And Shia Malay Translated Hadith As Negative Fuzzy Logic Ranking Indicator On Malay Information Retrieval(The Academy of Sciences Malaysia, 2020) ;Shaiful Bakhtiar Rodzman ;Sumayyah Hasbullah ;Normaly Kamal Ismail ;Nurazzah Abd Rahman ;Zulhilmi Mohamed NorAhmad Yunus Mohd NoorThe ranking function is a predictive algorithm that is used to establish a simple ordering of documents according to its relevance. This step is critical because the results’ quality of an IR System is fundamentally dependent on the ranking. This paper aims to develop the Fuzzy Logic Controller of Mamdani-type Fuzzy Inference System to define the ranking function, based on the Malay Information retrieval’s BM25 Model. The logic controller also includes Fabricated and Shia Malay Translated Hadith as the negative ranking indicator to demote the negative document to the bottom of the ranking retrieval results. The results then are evaluated by referring to the relevant documents issued by the Hadith experts and compared with the results produced by the BM25 model original score and the Vector Space Model. Based on the experiment’s result and evaluation, the proposed system has slightly outperformed the BM25 original score and the Vector Space Model (VM) on 11 queries, while the BM25 original score and Vector Space Model only yield a better result in five and eight queries respectively on the P@10, %no measures and MAP. Hence, proven the proposed system has a potential for further research to be conducted on these domains.
