Publication Applying The Ibadat Concept During A Natural Disaster(Human Resource Management Academic Research Society, 2024) ;Muhammad Adib Samsudin ;Mohammad Zaini Yahaya ;Ahmad Munawar Ismail ;Irwan Subri ;Che Maryam Ahmad ;Zainab IsmailIlliyin SamsudinMankind was created and put on the face of this earth only to function as a caliph and to carry out the responsibilities established by his Creator, regardless of any type of situation. However, for individuals involved in a natural disaster, it is not a factor that prevents victims of natural disasters from abandoning their responsibility. Generally, natural disasters will impact individuals involved in the disaster from various aspects. The impact of natural disasters results in damage as well as loss of property and life. Islam, as a religion that always facilitates its followers so that a Muslim’s responsibilities can be carried out without burdening the individual. Therefore, this study aims to elaborate on acts of worship performed during natural disasters. The content analysis method was used to obtain data from journal articles, book chapters and conference papers, which were then descriptively analysed. Findings indicate that the impact of natural disasters poses difficulties for disaster victims and Islam allows a certain amount of relief so that the mandatory worship practice commanded by Allah SWT can be carried out. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
- Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Sadd Al-Dhara’i‘ Argument And Its Role In The Prohibition Of Riba Transaction On Al-Buyu‘(Akademi Fiqh Islami Malaysia (AFHAM), 2021) ;Mohd Nasir Abdul MajidMohammad Zaini YahayaThis study discusses the argument of sadd al-dhara’i‘ in the ijtihad of the fuqaha, its legitimacy as a source of ijtihad and its effect on Shariah jurisprudence of prohibition of riba al-buyu‘. The objective of this study is to invite Muslims to understand the approach of ijtihad through sadd al-dhara’i‘ and so that the comprehensiveness of Islamic fiqh law is not seen as something narrow. The method of this study refers to library research which is the main information in addition to evaluating the application of sadd al-dhara’i‘ submission in the prohibition of riba al-buyu‘. By analyzing the position of sadd al-dhara’i‘ through the discussion of the mujtahids who accept and those who reject it, this study finds that it strongly supports the Islamic texts whether general or specific in the prohibition of riba al-buyu‘ suitable to be used as a basis and source in determining a law especially the current law of muamalat maliyyah, in an effort to prevent the occurrence of riba, gharar, oppression and other elements of mafsadah while performing the muamalat activity. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication The Level of Understanding of Several Syariah-Related Issues among Flood Victims in Flood Evacuation Centres in Malaysia(Human Resource Management Academic Research Society, 2024) ;Muhammad Adib Samsudin ;Mohammad Zaini Yahaya ;Ahmad Munawar Ismail ;Irwan Subri ;Che Maryam Ahmad ;Zainab Ismail ;Rosmawati Mohamad RasitIlliyin SamsudinNatural disasters, especially floods, are annual natural disasters that often affect Malaysia. A major concern for residents who live in flood-affected areas is the unpredictable occurrence of these floods. A temporary evacuation centre provides protection and accommodation for residents whose homes are flooded. As the number of houses inundated by flood water increases, so does the number of people who are moved to temporary evacuation centres. Previous studies have discussed the elements of unsatisfactory infrastructure facilities and the impact of a high number of flood victims in a temporary evacuation centre. The majority of flood-affected evacuees in these centres are Muslims and they are obligated to carry out Allah SWT's commandments regardless of where they are. The surrounding conditions at the evacuation centre differ from that of a home, which affect the implementation of Allah SWT's commandments in the temporary evacuation centre. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the level of understanding of several Syariah issues, such as taharah, performing prayers and safeguarding one’s aurat as well as socialising, among flood victims in temporary evacuation centres in Malaysia. This study adopted a quantitative design by distributing questionnaires to 400 flood victims residing in 19 temporary evacuation centres around the Seri Medan village in Batu Pahat. Findings indicated that flood victims in temporary evacuation centres around the Seri Medan village in Batu Pahat had a high level of understanding of Syariah issues.
