The study of library sciences which included the library information system and the library management which in exact known by the system of library cataloguing and mainly based on Library of Congress Classification (LCC) and Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) already being exist since last few centuries ago. However, the evolvement of this library sciences much dominated by the western scholars and we Muslim just become the user of the system though they are many disagreement regarding Islamic resources and materials being classified including the context of meaning of Arabic words, its synonymy not to mention others such as Islamic sect, ideology, philosophy, areas of specialization and etc. Not that there is no particular attention to the issues of Islamic cataloguing system and Muslim cataloguer, but the percentage or the degree of development is not equally significant with the evolvement of knowledge and technology in our modern time. Unfortunately, our Islamic materials and resources is not properly updated, organized and managed by the Muslim people involved in this field. Therefore, in tandem with the development of the modern technological tools, educational aids and computer sciences, this area supposedly, should be address in earlier stage, creating a great system which integrated the specialization, the areas of study, vast information across field, the systematic development of human resources and etc. Considering all the factors mentioned before, it is a high time for all Islamic organization not only creating awareness about this issues, but synergically involve and immerse themselves in the project of modernization and development of these Islamic cataloguing system and producing an Islamic cataloguer through establishing standard modules and index for Islamic Library Information System needed by the Muslim world.

However, the evolvement of its' concept and application is mainly dominated by the Western system although there are many disagreement regarding Islamic resources and materials being classified in the context of meaning in Arabic words, its synonymy not to mention others such as Islamic sect, ideology, philosophy, areas of specialization and etc. Our Islamic materials and resources are not properly updated, organized and managed by the Muslims involved in this field. This should have been addressed in the earlier stages, creating a great system which integrate the specialization, the areas of study, vast information across fields, the systematic development of human resources and etc. This paper highlighted an urgent need to develop Islamic cataloguing system and producing an Islamic cataloguer through establishing standard modules and index for Islamic Library Information System by Muslim world. Simultaneously, the development of a system which is able to monitor the cataloguers performance either through the assessment via 'Key Performance Indicator ' (KPI) or using more specific method such as a matrix of 'Balance Score Card' (BSC) to ensure the fulfillment of Islamic cataloguers activities and the organizational outcomes from those human activities and behaviors is enhanced. An establishment of linkages between the 'intangible asset' and `strategy differentiation' in creating a system for Islamic cataloguers and in producing efficient and competence library cataloguers is recommended within this framework. It will measure the linkage (using BSC) between goals of the Islamic library and the vision of Islamic cataloguers together with the efficiency in improving Islamic cataloguing system which Islamic libraries should produce.

The Covid-19 pandemic that hit the world in late 2019 has caused global changes to human lives. As a result, the Malaysian Government has implemented the Movement Control Order (MCO) throughout the country to curb the spread of the pandemic from getting worse. Throughout the implementation of the MCO, Malaysians began to practice a new normal in their daily lives to break the chain of infection. The USIM Library is also affected by the current situation as the center that supports the continuation of teaching, learning and research activities. Appropriate measures have been taken to ensure that services are provided to customers at the best level. A dynamic Standard Operating Procedure has been developed to enable the USIM Library to continue to operate physically. At the same time, the digital materials are enhanced to enable access to information to be easier and uninterrupted. In addition, the library programs are shifted to the online method that is more practical for the current situation.

Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) Library is an academic library which has planned their collection development strategy by adopting the methods of purchasing, subscribing and donations or gifts. It began developing the Individual Collection in 2007 when the Library began receiving resources contributed in large numbers from individual and scholars, as one of the reference collection in the Library. There is a specific policy that have been developed for reference in the management of the collection. The policy contains the background of the collection, objectives of the establishment of the collection, criteria of acceptable materials, units involved in collection management, and collection disposal procedures. To date, there are 11 Individual Collection that have been developed by the Library for scholars from within and outside USIM. The collection has been processed for reference by Library users. The article also shares the issues and challenges in the management of the collection.

Kajian ini dijalankan bagi mengenal pasti hubungkait antara penggunaan kepakaran staf dengan kepuasan bekerja dalam kalangan pegawai pentadbiran di Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM). Borang soal selidik yang mengandungi instrumen pengukuran persepsi terhadap tahap kepuasan kerja staf, pengukuran persepsi terhadap tahap penggunaan kepakaran staf dan maklumat demografi staf telah diedarkan kepada 180 orang staf pentadbiran di USIM menerusi aplikasi Google Docs. Seramai 91 responden (50.6% daripada keseluruhan populasi pegawai pentadbir) telah memberikan maklum balas terhadap soal-selidik yang dijalankan. Analisis data kajian dibuat menggunakan perisian SPSS termasuklah analisis deskriptif dan kolerasi. Hasil kajian dibincangkan secara terperinci dalam artikel ini berserta perbandingannya dengan kajian-kajian lepas. Kajian ini penting sebagai suatu indikator indeks kepuasan bekerja staf pentadbiran USIM serta menjadi panduan kepada pihak pengurusan universiti khususnya USIM untuk melaksanakan pengagihan tugas yang berkesan dalam usaha melahirkan modal insan yang cemerlang dalam kalangan staf pentadbirannya.
