The review on site and document was done to drill the issues faced by dates palm farmers. The common issues affecting dates farm in Malaysia were pest attack, import permit, lack of expertise, and climate and soil requirements. In a united response, the government should form the National Dates Palm Centre (NDPC) which will explore opportunities to address issues faced by the dates palm sector in Malaysia. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

In addition, this study also will identify demand on dates in Malaysia. Currently, there is a lack of study on prophetic food, especially in Malaysia. The data were collected through survey questionnaires. The sample size of this study was 1739 respondents from various socioeconomic backgrounds, profession, and level of education. The survey was conducted in several states in Peninsular Malaysia in June 2015. Descriptive statistics and crosstab have been used to find the results. The findings showed that Selangor had the most date consumers. The reason is that Selangor is an urban state, and the level of income of respondents from this state is higher compared to other states. Moreover, the level of education and awareness among respondents in Selangor are better compared to other states. This study also showed that people tend to consume dates not only because of religion but also because of health factors. Findings of the study can be used to formulate and develop a systematic supply chain in the dates market. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Besides, this paper also discussed on issues and challenges, prospect and future “baraqah” for dates palm farming sector in Malaysia. As new farming sector in Malaysia, facts sheets and general farming information are readily available and easily accessible to dates palm farmer. However, as the sector is rapidly growing, the lack of research in dates palm farming, production and prospect in Malaysia could represents a serious limitation to the long term viability of the sector. As results, several important issues and challenges for dates palm farming in Malaysia are derived such as dependency of imported dates, insect pest attack, climate and lack of expertise in dates palm farming. Besides, several prospects and future ‘baraqah’ for dates palm farming in Malaysia such as fulfilling local consumption trends, cultivation nature, dates palm health and disease, establishment of the National Dates Palm Centre and Waqf dates palm are proposed. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Household Debt And Economic Growth(Human Resource Management Academic Research Society, 2020) ;Khairunnisa Abd Samad ;Siti Nurazira Mohd DaudNuradli Ridzwan Shah Mohd DaliThe current study aims to examine the effect of household debt on growth using a sample of 43 countries for the period from 1980 to 2018. The analysis of the resulting panel data employs an a bias-corrected least square dummy variables (LSDVC). The findings for the sample of panel data confirm that the household debt has detrimental effect on growth. The policy makers can propose measures that reinforce suitable macro-prudential policy to enhance the role of household debt on economic growth. Though household debt in reality causes the economic downturn, the findings help the policy maker to control and manage the household debt wisely. It is a global phenomenon especially in developing and developed countries, driven by factors including land price, location, construction materials cost, demand, and speculation. This issue demands immediate attention as it affects the younger generation, most of whom could not afford to buy their own house. The government has taken many initiatives and introduced regulations to ensure that housing prices are within the affordable range. This article aims to introduce a housing price control element from the Shariah perspective, as an alternative solution for all parties involved in this issue. The review of previous studies show the income, working population, unemployment rate, inflation, house price, and interest rate lending are leading factors of household debt. Publication Macroeconomic Determinants of Corporate Failures in Malaysia(Canadian Center of Science and Educatio, 2008) ;Abd Halim @ Hamilton Ahmad ;Siti Nurazira Mohd Daud ;Ahmad Rizal MazlanAinulashikin MarzukiThis research investigates the long-run dynamic linkages between the corporate failures in Malaysia and selected macroeconomic variables by employing the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) bound test, a robust and recent time series technique which is applicable irrespective of whether the regressors are I(0) or I(1). Corporate failure rate is the ex-ante variable in a linear function model with five explanatory macroeconomic variables. A dummy variable to decipher the corporate failure rates during the Asian financial crisis was also included. The results show that corporate failure rates in Malaysia are significantly and positively associated with the average lending rate, inflation rate and, gross domestic product (GDP) in the long-run. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

If look at Malaysia, Muslim is the majority population and practices Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is a sunnah in order to gain benefit at the end of the day as a Muslim. There is a potential for Malaysian to plant and produce these prophetic fruits due to it availability in small scale. The main purpose of this study is to provide an overview of Malaysia as a hub of planting the prophetic fruits as well as known as sunnah consumption. Methodology is based on review of previous literatures and interview conducted. As recommendation and findings, there is huge potential for planting these prophetic fruits as shown in findings dates palm, figs, pumpkin and watermelon. Economic and religious information will lead to the success of planting these types of fruits. The involvement of government agencies and private sectors is essential in the promotion of planting prophetic fruits to farmers. This study contributes to the literature of planting several prophetic fruits which is available to cultivate, plant and harvest in Malaysia. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Sovereign Credit Ratings And Macroeconomic Variables: An Empirical Analysis On Dynamic Linkages In Malaysia(IUP Publications, 2009) ;Abd Halim @ Hamilton Ahmad ;Siti Nurazira Mohd DaudAinulashikin MarzukiThis paper aims to investigate the long- and short-run relationship of sovereign credit ratings in Malaysia. This study employed quarterly data from 1991 to 2004. A robust and recent time series techniques known as the Unrestricted Error Correction Model – Bound Test was used which is applicable irrespective of whether the regressors are I(0) and I(1). The results show that in the longrun, Debt to GDP, Debt Service to Reserves and US Treasury Bill rate (3-months) appear to have significant impact to Malaysia sovereign credit ratings. The findings of the study show that Malaysia’s long-term ability to pay its debt contains information for prediction of the credit rating. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Student’s Perception towards the management of Islamic business and economics undergraduate programs in Malaysian Public Universities:An exploratory study(Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, 2015-06) ;Nurul Aini Muhamed ;Nor Asiah YaakubSiti Nurazira Mohd DaudProgram management in Islamic-based higher education providers (HEPs) is designed to produce an outstanding human capital,which is at last can serve their obedience to Allah SWT,ummah and the environment.These are among the main aims of Islamic-based HEP,which are aligned with the university vision and mission.The ability to produce excellent muslim generations is closely influenced by curriculum and co-curriculum design,teaching and learning methods as well as lecturers knowledge.Despites the demand on various new teaching and learning methods (such as students centered learning – SCL) the viewpoint of students satisfaction should also been considered.It is important to look at this prspective since they are the main explicit stakeholders and directly exposed to various teaching and learning experiences.This paper aims to explore on the perception of final year students from business and economic programs in two aspects (i) curriculum and (ii) co-curriculum practices.This study takes the sample from two Islamic-based higher education institutions that implement Islamic education.The method of this study is the adapted Profiel Accumulation Technique (PAT) introduced by Johns and Lee-Ross to capture an in-depth information.Generally this study shows that there are positive responds on teaching methods,academic integrity and benefits of curricular activities in HEPs.
