However, knowledge on this issue in other contexts, particularly the construction sector, is still limited. Therefore, this study was conducted in the context of state-owned construction companies, known collectively as BUMN Karya, to address this gap. BUMN Karya has a pivotal role in Indonesia’s economic growth. This study examined the effects of organizational factors (human resource management practices, transformational leadership) and individual factor (organizational citizenship behavior, work motivation) on job performance. This study also examined the effect of human resource management practices, transformational leadership, and organizational citizenship behavior on work motivation. In addition, this study examined the role of work motivation as a mediator between human resources management practices, transformational leadership, organizational citizenship behavior, and job performance. The research data were collected through survey from 776 employees of BUMN Karya. The data were analyzed with regression analysis to test the direct relationships between the variables. Hierarchical regression analysis was carried out to test the mediation hypotheses. The results showed the significant relationship between organizational citizenship behavior and work motivation and between organizational citizenship behavior and job performance.
