Di Malaysia isu halal dan haram merupakan satu perkara sangat penting di dalam kehidupan harian yang mana mejoriti penduduk adalah beragama Islam. Salah satu isu halal dan haram yang perlu dititik beratkan adalah penyedian makanan. Pada masa sekarang, terdapat banyak makanan yang disediakan tanpa diketahui kandungan, sumber dan cara dihasilkan samada mengikut hukum syarak ataupun tidak. Di dalam projek ini, satu alat pengesan makanan halal boleh ubah akan dihasilkan bagi mengesan kadungan yang terdapat di dalam sesuatu makanan yang dijual. Alat ini berfungsi untuk mengesan kadungan bahan-bahan yang tidak halal di dalam sesuatu makanan itu. Contoh kandungan makanan yang tidak halal ialah makanan mengandungi campuran arak atau minyak babi. Di dalam projek ini terdapat tiga peringkat penyelidikan yang akan dijalankan. Pertama, rekabentuk produk, kedua, penyelidikan bahan makanan dan ketiga pengaturcaraan. Rekabentuk produk merujuk kepada ergonomik yang bersesuaian kepada pengguna. Akhir sekali pengaturcaraan pula akan menumpukan kepada pemprosesan data-data yang diperolehi dari kajian makanan bagi mengesan kandungan sesuatu makanan. Alat ini dihasilkan dengan saiz yang kecil bagi memudahkan pengguna menggunakannya

Misconceptious about Islamic Law remain, especially in the West, regarding the connection of the concept of Islamic State with human rights in general, and the rights of the non-muslims in particular. These misconceptions are due to a lack or absence of exposure of an Islamic theory of human rights, and the domination of the Western version of human rights in eduction, thoughts and its influence in the international media and forums. As a result, the West seems to be less appreciative of the non-Western values on human rights. This article attempts to remove some of these misunderstandings, and highlight some of the Islamic contributions, approaches and dimensions in the protection of human rights. Also, to show the universality of the Islamic theory , in dealing, not oly with the multi-religious and racial elements within the natural boundaries, but also with interntional relation in a plural world, especially in the process of establishing a new world order.

Stres merupakan salah satu sebab utama mengapa sejumlah besar guru bercadang untuk meninggalkan profession perguruan. Banyak kajian yang telah melaporkan tahap stres dan burnout dikalangan guru sekolah. Stres memberi kesan kepada kepuasan keija, keberkesanan ke atas produktiviti guru peningkatan ketidakhadiran dan pusingganti yang tinggi dan persaraan awal guru. SeIain daripada itu, stres juga memberi kesan kepada masalah kesihatan mental dan JizikaI dan mempengaruhi keberkesanan tahap tenaga guru dan penglibatan tugas yang semakin berkurangan. Stres yang berpanjangan boleh menyebabkan burnout (Frese & Zapf; 1988). Kesan burnout termasuklah kepuasan keija yang yang berkurangan, hubungan guru-murid yang rengang, motivasi guru yang berkurangan dan pengurangan , keberkesanan dalam memenuhi matlamat pendidikan negara. Kertas keija ini akan melihat punca, kesan dan strategi daya tindak ke atas stres keija guru. 1 Selain daripada itu, kertas kerja ini akan turut membincangkan satu kajian kes I1 stres guru di sebuah sekolah menengah di Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Kertas kerja ini akan juga melihat beberapa intervensi dalam pengurangan stres kerja.

Hadith11 Mawdu' (False Hadith) are created hadith that were claimed to have been delivered by the Prophet (p.b.u.h). They include his supposed speeches, deeds, declarations and everything that is related to him. The Prophet (p.b.u.h) reminded on the danger of the false hadith. Jt is prohibited as described in his hadith, which means: "Whoever lie to me intentionally should be prepared for his place in hell." The problem of hadith mawdu' is it is well spread and this research would concentrate on the existing hadith Mawdu in Klang Valley. Therefore, this research will focus on several occasions which the hadith Mawdu can be traced from various sources such as Friday prayer sermons, books, weekly magazines and religious lecture cassettes. The knowledge of the society about this kind of false hadith is also one of the researchers' main objective. The data is collected through interviews as well as questionnaires. The findings show that the level of understanding anlong the society regarding the hadith mnrvdzi ' is still very poor. Fro111 the surveys, we were able to trace about 60 hadith mawdu' in Klang Valley which mainly derive from religious books. 'the researchers also have interviewed prominent scholars and expertises in ulum al-hadith to get their views regarding the hadith mawdu. The development and advancement of Islam in Malaysia is also discussed at the beginning of this research.

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk melihat keberkesanan kaedah Iqra' sebagai kaedah pembelajaran membaca al-Qura.n di sekolah-sekolah di Malaysia. Kajian ini dilakukan ke atas 27 buah sekolah di beberapa buah negeri di bawah Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia dan 6 buah sekolah agama swasta.Walaupun kaedah ini telah be jalan selama Iebih 10 tahun di Malaysia dan sebahagian negara Asia Timur akan tetapi sehingga sekarang belum ada lagi kajian tentang keberkesanan kaedah ini terutama pelaksanaannya di sekolah-sekolah kebangsaan di Malaysia.Sepanjang pengarnatan melalui kajian lapangan yang dilakukan di sekolah-sekolah yang dilawati dan melalui temuramah-temuramah dan soal selidik yang diadakan dengan pihakpihak yang terbabit seperti penyelia, guru , pakar dan murid, telah menghasilkan beberapa keputusan. Kaedah ini pada umurnnya memberi kesan baik terhadap pencapaian pengajaran al-Quran di sekolah-sekolah kebangsaan. Ia tidak ada kecacatan yang memberi kesan buruk terhadap pembacaan murid akan tetapi terdapat beberapa perkara yang mana sekiranya dapat diatasi, nescaya akan lebih meningkatkan lagi kebaikannya dari 85 % ke 95%. Kaedah ini dikhususkan pembelajarannya pada bilangan murid di antara 10-1 5 orang murid sahaja atau paling maksimun 20 orang murid tetapi yang berlaku di sekolah-sekolah didapati murid melebihi bilangan yang sepatutnya sehingga 25-40 murid. Masalah ini diatasi dengan membahagikan pelajar kepada beberapa kumpulan yang dipimpin oleh seorang murid yang pandai di bawah pengawasan guru. Buku asal kaedah Iqra' adalah satu jilid yang dicetak di Indonesia yang digunakan juga di beberapa buah sekolah di Malaysia, tidak menggunakan Rasm Uthmani. Masalah ini diatasi dengan cetakan baru di Malaysia yang sepenuhnya menggunakan Rasm Uthman. Secara umumflya kaedah ini memang berkesan dan dapat mencapai objektif yang ditetapkan sekiranya mengikut arahan dan sukatan sebagaimana yang dikehendaki oleh kaedah ini.

Ethnography has, as its central principle, belief that the context in which a behaviour occurs has a significant impact on that behaviour. This study is based on a four-week ethnographic study of a discourse community - the first and second year students of Kolej Universiti Islam Malaysia. The study sought to understand and comprehend the need and usage of the English language by the discourse community. Non-participant observations, specialist informants, interviews, questionnaire and reviewing relevant documents were the tools employed for data gathering purposes. The findings indicate that the English language usage is dependent on the convention laid down by the university as well as by the discourse community. And finally, the study concludes with a discussion on the implications the findings have on producing and designing authentic teaching-learning material for the discourse community.

This research is an analytical and an evaluative study of Arabic Language teaching as a second language in Arab universities (University of Mohammed Al-Kharnis in Rabat, University of Jordan in Amman and Umm Al-Qura University in Mecca). This research is motivated by the need to create an Arabic Language as A Second Language programme for the Islamic University College of Malaysia with effective teaching and learning processes. Among the questions that have long preoccupied our minds and the minds of pedagogy and education specialists is "What is the best way and the most effective manner to build learners' skills in listening,speaking, reading and writing?". Thus, the purpose of this research is to study how Arabic is being taught in these universities and to propose a comprehensive methodology of teaching the four skills for Arabic at the Islamic University College of Malaysia. This study is a combination of library, field, analytical and developmental methodologies in research. The library research provides an understanding of teaching methodologies in general and the cuniculum employed at these Universities. The field research gathers data on the administration and supervision of programmes, the qualification of lecturers and teachers, their methodology in teaching, the curriculum, the goals of the curriculum, the teaching aids, and the learners. It includes observation and the distribution of questionnaires. An analysis of all these data reveals the following findings: First, students acquire more knowledge and competence if the lecturer is linguistically qualified and eloquent but does not do much of the talking. Second, the Eact that the lecturer or the teacher endears him or herself to the students has a very essential role to play in the success of any educational process. Third, the use of teaching aids is of paramount importance for effective learning. Thus, the use of language laboratory and technologically advanced tools such as an electronic chair which corrects the grammatical errors of the learners is desirable. Fourth, there is a need for evaluating andadjusting the curriculum in order to suite the Islamic University college of Malaysia. We have found that the curriculum is at the begging stage; therefore, there is an urgent need for alternative methods in teaching that are informed by civilizational and scientific developments. we recommend the use of the curriculum and teaching methodologies suggested in "Teaching Arabic as a Second Language", a book published by Umm al-Qura University. This will ease the process of teaching Arabic language as a second language and also learners will be able to acquire the language in a short period of time with less effort.
