Abstract

The facilities available in the time of ancient scholars had an impact on the understanding of the concept of the document, the practice and the belief in its power as evidence. Therefore, most of the previous literature is not relevant because, in the time of ancient scholars, the most method of proof used was the pledge, syahadah and oath. Today, the situation is very different when documents had become one of the main methods of proof and there are also various forms of document appear at this time. This is because if the document is not recognized as evidence, this will make it difficult for many affairs daily that on average today make the document as evidence in many matters. However, this does not mean that document is fully free from the element of forgery as it is one of a challenge when admitting the document as a method of proof in a court proceeding. Therefore, this paper will analyse the concept of document falsification according to Islamic Syariah law through a systematic literature review. This study will use the PRISMA methodology with the range of data stored on the web at www.scopus.com and http://myjurnal.my, which brings together thousands of scientific writings around the world. A total of 10 interesting articles related to this topic will discuss by the researchers. It is expected that the results of this study will become a reference point for others researchers, academics, students and the public in Malaysia.
