However, according to imam Tirmiżi and imam Aḥmad bin Hanbal, the two sanad are considered as having no irregularities, so that this hadith can then be claimed as ḥasan li ghairihi. The quantity of this hadith is Ahad with absolute gharib category due to its single narration of its beginning of the sanad (the companion Miqdam bin Ma’di Karib). The matan of hadith narrated by Miqdam bin Ma’di Karib consists of advice and recommendation for human to be able to manage uncontrollable willing (Id). Publication An Islamic Model Of Conflict Management And Conflict Resolution: Lahad Datu In Sabah As A Case Study(De Gruyter Open, 2018) ;Ahmed Abdul Malik ;Muhammad Khairi Bin Mahyuddin ;Najib Sheikh AbdisamadMikail IbrahimConflict is an inevitable part of human life. In any situation involving more than one person, conflict can arise. The causes of conflict range from philosophical differences and divergent goals, to power imbalances. When conflict arises, it is easy for people to be stubborn and remain entrenched in their positions and for tempers to flare, voices to rise and body language to become defensive or aggressive. Conflict is an unexpected inconvenience. This can be proved by the Lahad Datu Sabah conflict which occurred in 2013, where armed men landed in Lahad Datu to enforce an ancestral land claim. During the conflict, 12 security police were killed and some of them were mutilated. A week-long impasse in a coastal village ended in bloodshed, as a Malaysian ground assault gave way to air strikes. The aims of this research is to analyze the issues of Lahad Datu, to examine the strategies that can be used to promote peace and stability and to introduce an Islamic model of conflict resolution. A self-constructed survey instrument was distributed to 236 residents of Lahad Datu, who voluntarily participated in the study. The results indicated that a level of awareness and a resolution of conflict effects peoples reaction towards a governments response to invaders, their perceptions about the causes of the conflict and their stance during a conflict. Furthermore, the study found that gender, religion, education, occupation and marital status had no effect on the dependent variables. Finally, the findings of the research disclosed that an Islamic model of conflict resolution can be used to resolve the conflict of Lahad Datu or similar social conflicts. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication The Issue Of Ethics In The Media And Communication Profession(Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, 2016)Ahmed Abdul MalikMedia and Communication studies are well-known and attractive subjects in many universities and higher institutions, but the core of both subjects is not so popular and not viewed as a necessary subject by the scholars of media and communication. The writer of this humble article views this abnormal phenomenon as a disaster that jeopardizes the existence of the media and the lives of media practitioners. The illegal imprisonment of media practitioners, in addition to numerous cases of their murder, kidnaping, assault and all types of challenges and multiple acts of violence against journalists nowadays are nothing but a clear indication that there is something wrong. However, in a wrong situation like this, there is urgent need to correct such wrong. One of the main problems that need to be rectified is the issue of ethics in media. The society and more so, the authority need not to be taught that to be a journalist is not a crime but a legitimate type of career. This paper deals briefly with the issue of ethics in media and communication professionals and discusses some characters and code of conducts that are always categorized as a default of media by the consumers of the media products. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
- Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
