Halal tourism is a rising market niche within the tourism industry, catering to Muslim travellers seeking sites and activities that adhere to Islamic values. Local gastronomy, which refers to the appreciating the traditional cuisine and host culture of a specific region or community, can be a major draw for halal visitors. Yet, promoting local cuisine can present obstacles in terms of authenticity, cultural sensitivity, and sustainability. The purpose of this study is to identify how Islamic law might help overcome these difficulties and promote sustainable halal tourism by promoting local gastronomy. The study took a review of the literature approach, drawing on existing research on halal tourism, local gastronomy, and Islamic law. The study highlights numerous ways in which Islamic law might assist in addressing contemporary challenges in the promotion of local gastronomy within the context of halal tourism. Stakeholders may guarantee that they are serving the requirements and expectations of their target market while also contributing to larger ethical and sustainability goals by incorporating Islamic values into their processes. Therefore, this study suggests that the intersection of halal tourism, local gastronomy, and Islamic law can be leveraged for sustainable development, cultural preservation, and social integration. By breaking down cultural barriers and promoting sustainable practices in the promotion of local gastronomy, stakeholders can ensure that their practices are consistent with the values of their target market and with broader ethical and sustainability considerations. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Empowering Local Tourism Stakeholders: A Muslim-Friendly Approach to Sustainable Geo-Tourism in Langkawi’s UGGp(HH PUBLISHER, 2023) ;Siti Syahirah SaffineeMohammad Aizat JamaludinThe halal tourism industry is growing rapidly and is estimated to reach a value of $300 billion by 2030. However, it is crucial that this growth is sustainable and respects the cultural and religious beliefs of the Muslim community. A qualitative study was conducted to examine the current practices of tourism stakeholders in Langkawi UNESCO Global Geopark (UGGp) regarding sustainability in Halal tourism. The study used ATLAS.ti to analyze interview transcriptions and identify current practices. The study’s findings provide recommendations for tourism stakeholders to promote sustainable tourism that aligns with Islamic values. It is essential for the government, private sector, local communities, and academia to collaborate to ensure that Muslim friendly tourism as a branding used to be developed in a way that benefits all stakeholders and the environment. Publication ”Find Our Way Back”: Halal Integrity Towards Sustainable Tourism In Islamic Science Paradigm(Penerbit USIM, 2022-12)Siti Syahirah Saffinee“Without the integrity, halal world would be tarnished”. In Islam, the values-based principles instilled on the character and beliefs as the acting is all accountable in a holistic approach. However, concerns have been aroused on the individuality awareness towards sustainable tourism, in particularly, the role of khalifah in sustain the excess of the study on such matter. This study uses qualitative approaches and content analysis to identify new themes in the halal integrity issue. The outcomes determined four major components which can be affecting halal integrity towards sustainable tourism such as responsibility, trust, morality, and ethics. The accomplishment of this research makes a significant contribution to the sustainable tourism by highlighting the importance of halal integrity and concentrating on global challenges that should be supported by Islamic values. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Selain itu, promosi terhadap budaya songsang ini dilakukan secara terang-terangan di media sosial. Justeru, objektif kertas kerja ini adalah bagi mengkaji dan menganalisis peruntukan di dalam Akta Kesalahan Jenayah Syariah (Wilayah-Wilayah Persekutuan) 1997 berkaitan kesalahan LGBT dalam talian seterusnya mencadangkan penambahbaikan kepada peruntukan sedia ada di dalam Akta Kesalahan Jenayah Syariah (Wilayah-Wilayah Persekutuan) 1997 bagi mendakwa kesalahan LGBT dalam talian. Kajian kualitatif ini menggunakan pendekatan analisis dokumen bagi mengumpulkan data. Dapatan kajian mendapati terdapat peruntukan sedia ada yang boleh digunakan bagi mendakwa kesalahan LGBT yang dilakukan secara dalam talian. Walaubagaimanapun, peruntukan sedia ada ini mempunyai isu dari sudut substantif, keterangan dan tatacara yang memerlukan penambahbaikan. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication The Potential of Animated Video in Promoting Halal Education Ecosystem(HRMARS, 2023) ;Siti Syahirah SaffineeNadiah RamlanThe use of animated videos in Halal education can help students internalize the principles and practices of Halal Education, promote greater cultural awareness, and lead to a more harmonious and inclusive society. However, there is a lack of awareness and understanding of halal principles and practices on the impact of using animated videos to promote Halal Education. Despite being an important aspect of religious and cultural heritage, Halal Education is often not adequately represented in the curriculum, and teaching methods are often ineffective in engaging students and promoting meaningful learning experiences. Using qualitative methodology, the study aimed to gather rich and detailed information about promoting Halal Education using animated videos. The information was collected through qualitative data collection methods. The findings from this study provide valuable insights into the potential of using animated videos to promote Halal Education and help to build a more comprehensive understanding of this field. Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) himself was known for his love and compassion towards animals, and stressed the importance of treating them with kindness. In fact, the Prophet once narrated a story about a woman who was condemned to hell for mistreating a cat by not providing it with food. This article aims to explore the views of Islamic jurists on animal rights and the responsibilities that humans have to protect and care for them, as a means of upholding the principles of Islam related to animal welfare.
