Publication Assessing Graduate Marketability: A Case Study of the Quranic and Multimedia Integrated Program(CLM Resources Publishing, 2023) ;Mohd Zaini Zakaria ;Hapini Awang ;Nur Suhaili MansorRamlan MustaphaTo understand the demands of the modern labor market, this study focuses on the marketability of graduates from programs that mix multimedia with Quranic studies. These programs combine multimedia as a minor with Quranic studies as a major. Nonetheless, concerns remain over the program's applicability in light of the quickly changing technology landscape and the graduates' capacity to use their education to their advantage in the workplace. This study examines the employment situation of USIM graduates in multimedia Quranic studies for the academic years 2017, 2018, and 2019. Evaluate graduates' opinions regarding the program's suitability in fulfilling the labor market demands and any barriers they see to improving their marketability. The study uses a quantitative research design to gather information from 330 former students who obtained a Bachelor of Quranic Studies with a Multimedia degree. The results show that 77.2% of graduates have jobs, which suggests that marketability skills are on the rise. With only 5.6% of graduates still unemployed, graduates have a great understanding of the demands of the labor market and a proactive approach to enhancing their abilities. The biggest impediment to developing marketable skills is financial, with 90% of graduates stating this as a reason for not enrolling in outside training or courses. To sum up, graduates of the Quranic Studies with Multimedia curriculum are in demand for employment and have a market worth to the businesses. Notwithstanding the difficulties from restricted resources and information exposure, the graduates desire to improve their abilities, underscoring the significance of a well-rounded education that integrates naqli and aqli knowledge. Selain itu kertas kerja ini juga turut menyentuh tentang gaya bacaan beliau dalam seni lagu al-Quran. Sepertimana yang diketahui umum bahawa negeri Kedah merupakan salah sebuah negeri yang begitu menonjol dalam seni lagu al-Quran di Malaysia melalui beberapa kejayaan yang telah dilakar oleh qari-qari yang tersohor dari negeri tersebut pada suatu ketika, namun begitu tiada sebarang penulisan dilakukan untuk mendokumentasi biografi serta sumbangan mereka ini selain dari mengkaji tentang setiap gaya bacaan mereka berikutan transfomasi ilmu seni lagu al-Quran yang semakin berkembang. Justeru penulisan ini telah menyelidiki beberapa aspek yang telah dikemukakan berkaitan dengan penglibatan dan gaya bacaan Dato’ Haji Abdul Hak @ Abdul Ghani Abdullah . Penulisan ini telah menggabungan antara kajian kepustakaan dan lapangan di mana metode yang digunakan untuk pengumpulan data dalam penulisan ini adalah berdasarkan maklumat pendokumentasian data, temubual, pemerhatian dan penelitian terhadap beberapa rakaman bacaan beliau. Dapatan daripada kajian telah menunjukkan Dato’ Haji Abdul Hak @ Abdul Ghani Abdullah telah memain peranan yang begitu besar dalam perkembangan seni lagu al-Quran khususnya di negeri Kedah bukan sekadar sebagai seorang qari sahaja malah sebagai seorang juri penghakiman, panel dan fasilitator berkaitan seni lagu al-Quran. Dari segi gaya bacaan pula terdapat keseimbangan dari segi perbezaan dan persamaan dalam nada suara, pembawaan lagu serta alunan burdah. Publication Hadith Dalam Matn Hirz Al-Amani Dan Tayyibah Al-Nasyr: Olahan Maksudnya Dalam Bentuk Syair(Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, 2020-10-29) ;Khairul Anuar MohamadMohd Zaini ZakariaMatn Syatibiyyah dan Tayyibah al-Nasyr adalah rujukan utama dalam ilmu Qiraat. Imam al-Syatibiy menghasilkan Matn Syatibiyyah bersumber dari kitab al-Taisir yang dihasilkan oleh Imam Abu Amru al-Dani. Karya Imam al-Syatibiy ini menjadi teks utama dalam pengajian ilmu Qiraat Tujuh. Semua Usul Qiraat dan Farsy Huruf bagi semua Qurra diolah dengan bahasa yang amat baik dan menjadi hujah dalam ilmu Qiraat Tujuh. Manakala Matn Tayyibah al-Nasyr pula yang dihasil oleh Imam Ibn al-Jazari juga menjadi rujukan dalam Qiraat Sepuluh Kubra. Kandungannya diolah dari Matn Syatibiyyah dan Matn Durrah. Ijtihad Imam Ibn al-Jazari ini telah melengkap pengajian ilmu Qiraat Sepuluh. Menariknya jika dilihat dalam muqadimah kedua-dua matn tersebut terdapat bait syair yang diolah bersumber daripada hadith Rasulullah S.A.W. Perkara ini amat menarik dan perlu dibuat kajian untuk melihat bentuk syair yang digunapakai bersumberkan hadith. Selain itu ia juga melihat status hadith dengan cara melihat kepada takhrij hadith. Kajian mendapati hadith Nabi S.A.W. yang terdapat dalam dua matn Qiraat adalah berkaitan dengan kelebihan membaca al-Quran, anugerah yang mereka akan peroleh dan juga galakan untuk membaca al-Quran. Selain itu ia ada juga berkaitan cara membaca isti’azah dan basmalah. Kesimpulanya kedua matn Qiraat ini amat tinggi nilainya dalam ilmu Qiraat dan mengaitkan dalam kandungan muqadimahnya dengan beberapa hadith yang diolah dalam bentuk syair. Tarannum involves reciting the Quranic verses melodically and rhythmically and is viewed as a spiritual act of worship. This article aims to provide an overview of tarannum, including its various forms and the necessary conditions for Quranic recitation. Tarannum has several types, each with a distinct melody and rhythm, including Bayyati, Hijaz, Soba, Rast, Jiharkah, Sikah, and Nahawand. Each style is used for specific Quranic verses, such as Bayyati for Surah Al-Fatiha and Hijaz for Surah Al-Fil. Adherence to specific conditions is crucial to performing tarannum, including correct Arabic letter pronunciation and elongation, modulation, and intonation of the voice. Additionally, understanding the Quranic verses' meanings is vital to convey the intended message effectively. In summary, tarannum plays an essential role in the Islamic faith, elevating the beauty and spirituality of Quranic recitation. This article's overview of tarannum's various forms and necessary conditions for Quranic recitation can benefit those interested in learning this art, preserving this valuable heritage for future generations. Publication Patterns Of Acoustical Studies On The Quran: A Fifteen-year Empirical Research (2000-2015)(IAEME Publication, 2018) ;Dzaty ‘Adlin Md Jalil ;Hishomudin Ahmad ;Robiatul Adawiyah Mohd ;Ahmad Sanusi Azmi ;Mohd Zaini ZakariaAdnan Mohamed YusoffThe inimitability of the Quran has been regarded by Muslim as a vindication of the prophethood of Muhammad. The conventions of its miraculous nature are divided into few dimensions including scientific miracle, mathematical, legal, revealing the Ghaybiyyat (unseen world) and acoustical elements. While each elements has its general emblem and characteristic, acoustic miracle of the Quran has its own insignia. It was known with different terminology, such as phonology of the Quran, phonetic miracle and rhythm of al-Quran. Exploring the acoustical nature of the Quran, scholars of the 21st century have advancing various methods and researches in analysing its miraculous nature. Thus, the present study aims to analyse studies conducted on the acoustical elements in the Quran from 2000 to 2015. The researcher, in this study, employed Systematic Literature Review (SLR) as its main methodological tool with the adaptation of PRISMA technique. The result shows that there are three major patterns in the study of acoustical element of the Quran, which could be concluded as: (1) the study on phonetic element in the Quran that was embedded in its pronunciation, specific phonic characteristic and structural wording, (2) analysis on the organisation, repetition and rhyme at the end of verses and (3) the exploration on interrelation between the meaning of the Quran and its phonetic element. Di Malaysia, Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia telah memperkenalkan Kelas Kemahiran al-Quran (KKQ) di sekolah menengah bertujuan untuk menghasilkan pelajar yang celik, memahami seterusnya membudayakan al-Quran dalam kehidupan seharian. Namun begitu, matlamat ini tidak akan tercapai sekiranya elemen-elemen kemahiran Insaniah diabaikan dalam pendekatan tersebut. Ianya merupakan salah satu objektif negara ke arah melahirkan seorang pelajar muslim yang seimbang dan holistik untuk melaksanakan tanggungjawab sebagai penjana sumber manusia atau modal insan yang bukan sahaja mantap dengan pengetahuan al-Quran, bahkan memiliki ciri-ciri insan kamil. The development of this knowledge, particularly in Malay archipelago, was based on the central role of the qari and qariah and production of scientific papers in these disciplines which constitute civilizational heritage of Muslims. This article will focus on some books related to the art song of the Quran, especially in Malaysia and Indonesia based on the writing style of the books. This article applies qualitative method through analysis of documents to the works of Quranic art song in Malaysia and Indonesia. Thus, this paper focuses on the evolution of the Hijazi and Misri streams in the art of tarannum al-Quran in Malaysia. The emphasis is given to the state of Kedah which is one of the early places of birth of this art in the country. Besides, this paper also highlights the aspects of the flow, styles, and recitation art of the famous qaris in this state, as well as the song transformation from the past to the present. This article includes two disciplines of study, namely library and field studies where several methods were used to collect the data including document analysis, interviews, and observations. However, with the rapid advancement of ICT and high-end gadgets that have turned us into a digit society, there is an urgent need to create a new method of learning the tarannum. Therefore, the Tarannum Smart Learning Application (Tarannum-SLA) is proposed. It is an innovation of learning the tarannum, intending to catch the attention of new generations towards the Quran. This paper describes the process of requirement gathering and analysis for the development of Tarannum-SLA, referring to the initial phases in System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Cetakan Mushaf bermula secara berperingkat dan pada mulanya banyak menghadapi cabaran dari sudut pandangan ulamak terhadap hukum mencetak Quran dan teknologi yang digunakan. Ia bermula pada zaman pemerintahan Muhammad Ali Basha pada tahun 1248 Hijrah bersamaan 1833 Masihi. Objektif kajian ini ialah melihat kepada sejarah bagaimana perkembangan percetakan berlaku di Mesir yang merupakan tempat pertama Mushaf dicetak di tanah arab. Ia juga mengkaji berkaitan tokoh yang memberi sumbangan dari sudut penulisan khat dan juga metode yang mereka gunakan untuk memastikan mushaf yang dicetak adalah menepati Rasm Uthmani. Metode penulisan yang digunakan adalah dengan mengumpul data dari beberapa artikel yang menjadi rujukan dan menganalisa dengan melihat kepada ulasan yang dinyatakan para pengkaji dan bandingkan kepada salinan mushaf yang berkaitan. Kajian ini mendapati banyak kejayaan mencetak al-Quran di Mesir adalah kerana kesungguhan pemerintah ketika itu bermula pada zaman Muhammad Ali Basha. Kesungguhan ini berterusan sehingga ke zaman Malik Fuad iaitu pada tahun 1918 Masihi bersamaan 1337 Hijrah. Beberapa tokoh telah memberi sumbangan yang besar seperti Syeikh Ridwan al-Mukhalalti. Publication Sumbangan Dato' Salehuddin Bin Omar dalam Pendidikan al-Quran di Malaysia(USIM Press, 2021-12) ;Khairul Anuar Mohamad ;Sedek bin AriffinMohd Zaini ZakariaThe long-serving principal of Darul Quran (DQ) who has contributed to Quranic Education in Malaysia is Dato Sallehuddin Omar. His service as the principal of DQ began from 1980 to 1993. This al-Quran figure has made a significant contribution to Quranic education since his return from Egypt in 1976 until now. The study was to look at his educational background from the primary level until he successfully obtained a bachelor’s degree. It also looks into his in-depth education in the field of Quran and Qiraat as well as his major contributions in Quranic education. Hence, his involvement in the study of the Quran is studied starting from reciting, memorizing the Quran and gaining deeper understanding in the learning of Qiraat. The study was written according to the author's interview method with this figure in several meeting sessions. In addition, it also refers to the author's interviews with some of his successful students and refers to the writings of some of his students with him during the figure's visit to their place. This study has found that Dato Sallehuddin Omar is a figure who has contributed a lot to the development of al-Quran education in Malaysia. He has proposed to the PSD to upgrade the tahfiz certificate to the Tahfiz Diploma. Apart from that, he has also made a great contribution in publishing the Mushaf Rasm Uthmani in which the address of waqf is referred to the book of Manar al-Huda. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

This study aims to analyze the suitability of this alternative Tarannum learning method for beginners, as well as to identify the appropriate content to be incorporated in the audiobook. Finally, this study also aims to develop a model of the new platform for Tarannum learning; the Tarannum Interactive Audiobook Model. The qualitative approach is used in this study to collect the library data from books, articles, and journals to form a research model. Furthermore, this study also uses the interview method by asking relevant questions to some experienced respondents to get their views on the suitability, requirements and potential issues on the application of audiobooks for Tarannum learning. This study found that there are existing studies on the use of audiobooks for the teaching and learning process but not in the context of Tarannum. Therefore, this study has contributed in developing an audiobook model. This model will be used as the main reference to guide the development of the actual Tarannum Interactive Audiobook, which can further facilitate beginners and students in learning Tarannum al-Quran more effectively. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

It is a teaching and learning aid that has been developed for those who are interested in the tarannum subject. The tarannum is a technique to beautify and curve the tone of voice, in a certain tempo and rhythm when reading the Quran. The main aim of Tarannum-SLA is to facilitate the process of learning tarannum. Also, this courseware could create awareness among Muslims on the importance of the Quran. The Tarannum-SLA was developed not only to attract Muslims but also for non-Muslims who are interested to know about Islam, especially in terms of the arts of Quran recitation. Furthermore, in this courseware, we provide three language options, which are Malay, English, and Arabic for the convenience of our diverse prospective users. There are seven styles of tarannum, including Bayyati, Nahwand, Hijaz, Rast, Soba, Jiharkah, and Sika that are included in the Tarannum-SLA. Furthermore, to examine the ability of Tarannum-SLA to tackle the users’ needs, we have conducted the usability analysis based on the diffusion of innovation model. The result indicated that most of the constructs are perceived at a high level by respondents. Thus, this evidenced the high usability of Tarannum-SLA in promoting Quranic education. Although the development of this courseware has reached the implementation stage, it still needs some future improvements, for example, to amend the verses and reciters. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

This has been apparently stated in the Malaysia Education Blueprint 2013-2025 through the ninth pillar which stated the strategies to encourage mutual partnerships with parents, communities, and private sectors. Apart from the hard work of all parties, leadership styles and communication are also among the key elements that need to be addressed to realize this aspiration. To ensure its sustainability, the nature of this collaboration needs to be flexible by considering certain limitations caused by unstable situations, including the COVID-19 pandemic. Based on Joyce Epstein's model, this quantitative study aims to confirm the dimensions and constructs in the model of virtual collaborative community in education. An instrument consisting of six dimensions of collaborative community which contains 30 questionnaire items were used. The dimensions are, i) parenting, ii) communication, iii) volunteering, iv) learning at home, v) decision making (leadership), and vi) smart partnership. The survey data was collected from 246 respondents using a quantitative approach through questionnaires, which were later analyzed using the AMOS version 22 software. The finding shows that all six proposed functions for community involvement variables are significant. Finally, a model of virtual collaborative community to support national education agenda was successfully developed (CFI = 0.931: PCFI = 0.802; PNFI = 0.752; RMSEA = 0.064). - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Even among students of Islamic Studies, the Internet's utility for accessing significant Hadith information is undeniable. Everyone has been using the Internet to find various types of information. However, the issue of the quality of information available on the Internet is evident. The spread of false Hadith or falsified news is a significant concern in the context of digital technology and Hadith learning. Some Hadith material has been disseminated on the Internet without discernment or balance. The accuracy and validity of Hadith-related information on the internet cannot be guaranteed. This research project aims to bridge a gap in Islamic education by integrating digital technology into Hadith learning among students at the University Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM). The study will provide empirical insights into the efficiency of digital tools and investigate accessibility and inclusivity elements of digital resources. Using a case study approach with quantitative data techniques, a survey was conducted among final-year students in the Faculty of Quranic and Sunnah Studies Year 4, who are enrolled in three programs: Quran and Sunnah Studies (QS), Quran and Multimedia (QM), and Sunnah with Information Management Studies (SPM). The aim is to understand their perceptions of the effectiveness of digital technology in enhancing their understanding and engagement with Hadith. The findings revealed that practically all the participants had used the Internet for learning Hadith.
