Publication Alternative Zakat Poverty Line in Kelantan, Malaysia(Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, 2016) ;Ahmad Fahme Mohd Ali ;Mohd Faisol IbrahimMuhammad Ridhwan Ab AzizThis study attempts to analyse the zakat poverty line between regions (urban and rural) and differences between household head gender (male and female) among the poor and needy zakat recipients in Kelantan. The study is motivated by a few shortcomings of the current zakat distributions as well as an increasing amount of expenditure annually on the two categories of zakat recipients and yet the number of fuqara (poor) and masakin (needy) households is increasing. The current amount of zakat monthly distribution seems to raise some issues due to its weaknesses. This paper offers several alternative regional poverty line estimations with varying underlying assumptions. Using the Household Expenditure Survey 2014, poverty lines are estimated based on the consumption patterns of regional and gender household per capita expenditure. The regional poverty lines from these reference groups produced robust poverty measurement rankings across regions in the country. This study recommends the method of zakat distribution to be improved in order to strengthen the Muslims economy condition and then, it would facilitate poverty alleviation programs conducted by the zakat department. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Analyzing Factors Influencing E-Wallet Adoption Using UTAUT2 Model: A Literature Review(Fakulti Ekonomi dan Muamalat, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, 2022) ;Ahmad Azwan Meor Hashim ;Muhammad Ridhwan Ab AzizJunaidah Abu SemanThe dependence of modern businesses on computer and information technology has increased significantly. The acceptance and use of information systems (IS) and information technology (IT) have been a focus of research and practise in recent decades. e-Money is a payment instrument used to store funds that the user pays in advance to the e-money issuer. The use of mobile devices to conduct financial transactions has led to the development of a new type of e-money called an electronic wallet (e-wallet), which is essentially the digital equivalent of the wallets that people normally carry. With the availability of numerous features and services beyond payment, e-wallets have become one of the government's primary tools to achieve a cashless society. Several adoption theories and models have been used to determine the acceptance and use of e-wallets, particularly in the study of social commerce. These include the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), the Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB), and the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT). Current research on e- wallet acceptance generally relies on the expanded Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology-UTAUT (known as UTAUT2) as the primary framework. UTAUT2 introduces factors relevant to the consumer market that influence behavioural intentions to use a new technology: Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Social Influence, Facilitating Conditions, Hedonic Motivation, Price Value, and Habit. This paper examines previous research on e-wallet adoption intentions based on the UTAUT2 framework using secondary data analysis. This study contributes to the literature on e-wallet adoption by taking a broader look at the determinants of e-wallet adoption by users, including an Islamic perspective and future research directions. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Publication Conceptualizing And Operationalizing Islamic Financial Literacy: A Multidimensional Framework(Global Academic Excellence, 2022) ;Farah Amalina Md Nawi ;Muhammad Ridhwan Ab AzizSyahidawati ShahwanIslamic financial literacy is a prerequisite for Muslim financial well-being. Despite the fact that Islam provides clear guidance on financial arrangements, Muslims, particularly in Malaysia, have demonstrated financial ineptitude as evidenced by poor financial behaviours and a high number of bankruptcies, which warrants due scrutiny by current research. Nevertheless, determining the actual level of Islamic financial literacy, let alone devising control measures, has been challenging due to the lack of a validated measurement model of Islamic financial literacy. Furthermore, the lack of a standard definition has hampered empirical research in this area. Therefore, this study aims to scrutinize the concept of financial literacy from Islamic standpoint prior proposing a standard measurement. Underpinned by the Theory of Family Resource Management (FRM), Islamic financial literacy is denoted by Islamic financial knowledge, Islamic financial attitudes, and Islamic financial behaviours. These three primary components are further broken down into three sub-components: Islamic financial products, Islamic philanthropy, and financial management. The proposed measurement of Islamic financial literacy would serve as a parameter for measuring the level of Islamic financial literacy of the community in various groups, allowing subsequent measures to strengthen it to be devised. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

- Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
