Publication The Belief In Hantu In The Malay Culture From The Perspective Of Islam(University of Malaya, 2014) ;Mohd Zohdi Mohd Amin ;Ishak Suliaman ;Husniyah Salaeh ;Mohamed Akhiruddin IbrahimAzlina Mohamed NorThe belief in “hantu” is the result of animism and dynamism among Malays before the arrival of Hindu, Buddha and Islam. Hantuis portrayed as the incarnation of evil souls wishing to harm humans. This belief is related to the concept of soul existence or “semangat” (essence) in everything including the human body. This ancient belief is integrated into their new religions through adaptation process. After embracing Islam, the belief in hantuis not totally dispelled since its features are similar to that of jinnand shaitan, whose existence are acknowledged in Islam. The belief is also supported by the concept of human soul in the afterlife, where it is deemed as immortal. Hantuis portrayed as the soul of the dead, dwelling in certain places and harming the humans. Based on the analysis of the texts of the Quranand Sunnah, it is found that the soul of the dead could never becomehantu, as opposed to the Malays’ belief. It is because the soul of the dead is in barzakh, the impassible barrier between the world and the Hereafter. It is a place where the soul is either rewarded or punished for his or her deeds in the past life. The souls cannot act independently by themselves as they are under the control of Allah. Based on this, the belief in hantuis against the Islamic teachings. This belief is capable in affecting a Muslim’s faith as it indirectly leads to the denial of rewards and punishments in the afterlife. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

- Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Methods used with literature search and literature selection. The theoretical framework of this study is that the Covid-19 pandemic has touched on every aspect of human life and raised many ethical questions. Several debates took place in various healthcare communities related to the coronavirus. In addition, religious communities also face various questions and challenges related to the Covid-19 pandemic regarding spiritual beliefs, ritual practices, and moral principles of the community. The results of the study show that every Muslim believes that every disease has its cure but man's job is to research and find a cure. Treatment is a healing effort recommended by the Prophet SAW, even if it is part of a form of tawakkal to Allah SWT, but treatment is prohibited by using drugs from unclean or made from objects forbidden by Islam. In times of emergency, Islam provides rukhsoh (leeway) for treatment with the haram with some emergency conditions that scholars have explained. Except for khomr, khomr still cannot be used as medicine, because in khomr emergency conditions are not met. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

In order to practice the Quranic teachings, Muslims have to understand the meanings of each verse of the Quran. Allah has remarkably used the element of plants in His revelations which describes the importance of the connection between humans and nature. Publication Listening Skills Strategies (P.I.S.A) Used In Muet: A Preliminary Study(AESS Publications, 2017) ;Shahirah Sulaiman ;Nur Safura Ab. Ghaffar ;Mohamed Akhiruddin Ibrahim ;Raimizar RahimAzizah Abdul MajidMalaysian University English Test (MUET)has been implemented by the Ministry of Education to prepare tertiary students with the necessary English language skills. These skills are significant not just for the sake of passing the examination but also to train the students with English medium instructions in the classrooms at the tertiary level. The abovementioned skills are reading, writing, listening, and speaking; which will be examined amongst students to aid them to secure a place in universities. The four basic skills may sound manageable tolearn but there are still gaps in students‟ proficiency of the language which disrupt their competency, especially in their listening skills. Current researches show that students are not adequately prepared with listening strategies and listening comprehension instruction in the classroom. Thus, this study aims to investigate 60 undergraduate students‟ listening strategies; P.I.S.A (Predicting, Inferring and Selective Attention), in answering their listening tasks. A quantitative approach was employed with the use of a questionnaire as the instrument. The findings confirmed that a majority of the students adopted steadily these three strategies in their listening skills. This result may help to increase the basic listening competency and cognitive abilities among the undergraduate students and thereby ultimately enhance students‟ listening strategies of MUET at tertiary level. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
