Publication A Review Of The Discussions On Cultivated Meat From The Islamic Perspective(Science Direct, 2024) ;Mohammad Naqib Hamdan ;Rufaihah Abdul Jalil ;Mohd Anuar Ramli ;Nasiibah Ramli ;Mohd Nor Adzhar Ibrahim ;Muhamad Firdaus Ab Rahman ;Hussein ‘Azeemi Abdullah ThaidiNur Najwa Hanani Abd RahmanSince the introduction of the cultivated meat burger in 2013, numerous discussions have transpired between researchers and consumers, manifesting in various forms such as academic publications, opinions on personal websites and interactions on social platforms. For Muslim consumers, a primary concern revolves around the halal status of cultivated meat, given the pivotal role of adhering to a halal diet as a divine obligation in their lives. Therefore, this article seeks to systematically review the existing literature on cultivated meat from an Islamic perspective as articulated by Muslim scholars, whether these perspectives are issued by an established fatwa organisation or representations of personal views. The sources incorporated into this analysis span from academic publications, newspaper articles, fatwa bodies, personal websites and interviews. Employing thematic analysis, five principal themes were discerned within the discourse among Muslim scholars regarding cultivated meat: (i) the ontological status of cultivated meat, (ii) the status and source of stem cells used in the cultivation process, (iii) the theological implications of cultivated meat production on altering God's creation, (iv) foundational principles for halal cultivated meat production, and (v) the contemporary necessity of cultivated meat from the perspective of al-maqasid al-shariah. It is duly recommended that international fatwa organisations such as the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA) engage in discussions and deliberations on this matter of growing significance within the food industry. The fatwas and resolutions issued by IIFA are frequently cited as the most recognised authority in many Islamic countries. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
- Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Bay' Mumtalakāt Al-waqf: Dirāsah Taḥliliyyah Fī Ḍau' Tashrī'āt Al-waqf Fī Ḥukumah Māliziyā(Faculty of Shariah and Law, Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta, 2022) ;Muhamad Firdaus Ab Rahman ;Hussein ‘Azeemi Abdullah Thaidi ;Mohammad Naqib HamdanSiti Farahiyah Ab RahimThis article aims to critically examine the issue of selling waqf properties in Malaysia's waqf legislations. This tudy adopts a qualitative methodology employing field work data. The findings indicate that even though the waqf fiqh provides a choice of periods to be either temporary or permanent waqf, the Malaysian Waqf laws adopt permanent waqf and prohibits the temporary waqf for the sake of public interest (maslahah). Therefore, waqf properties cannot be cancelled by a donor, and that waqf land cannot be sold, given as a present, or bequeathed. The finding established that the Waqf laws are consistent with the waqf's aims. Thus, this paper proposes that each State's Waqf Corporation and Islamic Religious Council in Malaysia needs to conduct a review of the existing waqf rulings and legal framework to ensure that they are consistent with the waqf purpose for benefiting donors, waqf holdings, and beneficiaries. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Walau bagaimanapun, terdapatpihak yang menggandingkan unsur-unsur haram dan halal dalam pemilihan nama produk seperti Hotdog, Beerdan sebagainya. Publication A Need Of Sharī ‘ah Compliant Model Of 3d Bioprinting(University of Management and Technology (UMT), 2022) ;Nurmunirah Ramli ;Mohammad Naqib Hamdan ;Mohd Anuar Ramli ;Saiful Izwan Abd Razak ;Hussein ‘Azeemi Abdullah ThaidiMohd Farhan Md AriffinOne of the credible inventions is 3D Bioprinting or organ printing which uses layer by layer fabrication manner and is an emerging and developing technology offered by the research industry and can help the humanity in certain areas of life e.g., health, food, etc. The technology has been found beneficial in wide spectrum within the medical industry in fighting the shortage of organ and tissues donations. It is also helpful for the pharmaceuticals for determining effectiveness of new drugs and the food industry players to develop new type of edible meat for humans’ consumption. However, behind all these benefits, there are unresolved issues that need be discussed critically and addressed properly within the ethics, law and orders of Islamic worldview. This study aims to indentify the Sharī‘ah related issues raised consequent upon the invention of 3D bioprinting. The study uses data collection from scholars’ writings, academic journals, and Islamic fatwa related to bioethics. The data are analysed thematically. The results show that there is a loophole in bioethics research on Sharī‘ah compliant guidelines for the Muslims users with regards to bioprinting usage. It is suggested for the experts to do thorough research on Sharī‘ah compliant guidelines of bioprinting to be the benchmark guideline for authorities such as JAKIM in Malaysia and other authorities such as the Ministry of Health in treating the Muslim patients. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Perbahasan Hukum Percampuran Manusia-Haiwan: Satu Analisis Tematik dalam Mazhab Shafie(USIM Press, 2022) ;Muhammad Faiq Mohd Zailani ;Mohammad Naqib Hamdan ;Aimi Nadia Mohd YusofNur Najwa Hanani Abdul RahmanHuman-animal mixture has long been done by scientists to be used as a model for disease studies, drug tests, alternative organs in organ transplant treatment and others. The most controversial human-animal mixture is mixing human cells into animal brains because it can raise ethical issues involving the cognitive enhancement of the animal. Furthermore, animals that experience cognitive enhancement can confuse their moral status because they can reach the cognitive level of humans. In addition, the absence of a specific moral status towards these animals increases the concern of bioethicists and philosophers in dealing with these beings. From an Islamic perspective, this matter can affect Islamic law if the animal can resemble humans physically or cognitively because they are neither human nor animal anymore. Therefore, this study was conducted to analyse thematically the discussions of classical jurists on this issue either directly or conceptually. The words mutawalid, aadami and kalbun were chosen as keywords, the theme was formed to give an understanding of how Islam lays down laws against animals that resemble humans, which can then be used to help in determining the law of human-animal mixing in biomedical science. The results of the study found several Islamic rule debates that debated sacred law, worship, slaughter and eating, marriage, guardianship, inheritance and human-animal wills in the Shafiite School. In addition, there are differences in laws that involve differences in the form of mixing and others that involve humans and animals.
