Publication Analisis Pengesahan Faktor (CFA) Instrumen Kajian Cinta Ilmu Dan Keperibadian Ummah Cemerlang(UKM Press, 2022) ;Nazneen Binti Ismail ;Syaidatun Nazirah Abu ZahrinNorhayati Rafida Abdul RahimKemajuan teknologi hari ini merupakan sebahagian daripada kesan Revolusi Industri 4.0 yang melibatkan perubahan dalam pelbagai aspek hidup manusia termasuk keilmuan dan keperibadian.Mahasiswa Muslim hari ini perlu dilengkapkan dengan ilmu dan kemahiran yang sesuai bagi menghadapi cabaran revolusi ini. Di samping itu, keperibadian ummah cemerlang yang berdaya saing perlu dibangunkan agar mampu memanfaatkan perkembangan ini selaku khalifah. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menjalankan Analisis Penerokaan Faktor (EFA) dan Analisis Pengesahan Faktor (CFA)bagi menguji kesesuaian pemboleh ubah Instrumen Cinta Ilmu dan Keperibadian Ummah Cemerlang. Satu set soal selidik diedarkan kepada 415 mahasiswa Muslim dan dianalisis menggunakan ujian analisis pengesahan faktor (CFA) dengan bantuan perisisan AMOS Ver.23. Merujuk kepada modifikasi dan nilai goodness of-fit, didapati nilai fit indices adalah lebih baik setelah melalui beberapa proses perubahan. Selain itu, ujian kesahan dan kebolehpercayaan turut dilakukan terhadap model pengukuran ini. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahawa model pengukuran cinta ilmu yang sah terdiri daripada enam pembolehubah iaitu cinta pembacaan dan motivasi intrinsik yang mewakili cinta ilmu serta ibadah, akidah, akhlak terhadap keluarga dan akhlak terhadap masyarakat yang mewakili keperibadian ummah cemerlang.Analisis ini menunjukkan terdapat hubungan antara cinta ilmu dengan keperibadian ummah cemerlang. The case "Ancaman Pencerobohan Sistem Berkomputer" presented an issue relating to the ethics in computerise operation environment. "Dilemmas In Corporate Communication Division" looked at the factors in handling public complaints. While "Pertindihan Perintah Mahkamah Syariah" looked at the workings of syariah legal system. The case "Panggilan Pulau Besar" discussed about deviant teachings while the case "Pencegahan SARS" presented crisis management fkom Islamic perspective. The cases have valuable learning points and together with teaching guides, they could be usefbl for teaching-learning purposes. However, it must be noted that the cases are written as case research exercises and they are not meant to evaluate good or bad management practices. The controversial begins when Selangor Authority decided to move the lncinerator Project from Puchong to Broga, Semenyih. But, this project is being opposed by the society who lives in Broga. The society, as to profoundly oppose, has formed a committee, named Global Alliance for Incinerator Alternatives, which is responsible to study in details of the draft Terms of Reference (TOR). And therefore, they have come out with several factors proving that there was a lack of transparency in the way the whole process of EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment) study when it being conducted. Perunding Utama is the one who handles the EIA study. However, the government feels that the society is lack of information that the incinerator is a high technology logistic system, which prevents pollution and soil from the area. Both parties, then, negotiate in order to find solution while Broga's society is still hoping that the government will move the project to other place in Selangor. However, this case has been forwarded to SUHAKAM. The society has asked for second appraisal on the proposed project. How do they solve this conflict? The effectiveness of an emergency response in Malaysia will depend on the national food safety system in place and public health preparedness planning for emergency situations and preparedness plans that are developed and implemented long before any event occurs. For disaster which is classified as non-disastrous, the relevant agencies can handle using minimum resources and facilities at local level. In case of disaster caused by fire or hazardous materialsp (hazmat), Fire and Rescue Department Malaysia will act as a main agency to handle it. District Police Chief or State Police Chief which is relevant, still hold the responsibility as commander of disaster operation on scene to coordinate the involvement of the other agencies. Among the non-disastrous incidents are the vehicle accidentqthe small fire or a mishap in a lake or river. Malaysia, a contemporary Islamic state with an open economy, has accomplished huge achievements inside the halal circle, spearheaded Malaysia's halal norms and accreditation since the primary 70s. Malaysia has likewise gotten various recognitions from different countries for halal information and affirmation expertise. In November 2019, an attack of COVID-19 in Wuhan, China have come to many countries around the world, including Malaysia. With the increasing number of cases, how does public service announcement (PSA) play its role in disseminating Halal information in the pandemic? Does social media mediate the PSA effectively? This study wishes to examine the effectiveness of PSA towards the increase of halal knowledge among social media users. This study employs a quantitative approach which uses a survey method. Due to pandemic and movement control order, the responses have resulted in 100 respondents only. The analysis includes descriptive, T-test and correlation. It is found that the PSA made through social media does not exert influence on halal knowledge among Muslim teenagers. It reveals the majority for less effectiveness of PSA in social media, which causes most respondents at the moderate and low level of halal knowledge. Nurul HusnaAbstract: Opportunities for Halal careers offer brighter prospect for blue collar workers, to become competentslaughterers towards fulfilling the mandatory Halal specifications. In Sarawak, Malaysia, competent meatslaughterers is seen as crucial to cater industrial demands for Halal meat. To what extent does the training fulfillthe needs of the blue collar workers? What is their perception towards the Halal slaughter training? This paperaims at understanding the expectations of trainees towards the training; the effectiveness of module contentand duration that took place in the training. This study employs both qualitative and quantitative approaches.Interviews are conducted to identify the expectation of trainees towards the training, Surveys conducted tomeasures the effectiveness level of content and duration of the programme among the 27 trainees. 95.5% ofthem agreed that the content of the module was effective and much needed in the context of meeting theindustrial Halal needs. The duration of the programme was perceived as moderate (50%) while another 50% isat satisfactory level. The findings shows that Halal slaughter training is required to overcome issues of workersshortage Halal meat products. As education level influences the understanding level, the duration of thetraining is profoundly significant to ensure effectiveness among the blue collar workers. In conclusion, thismodule is effective towards bridging the theoretical and hands on skills of Halal Slaughterers for Malaysia HalalMeat Industry. Besides the sales, the authority from state and federal level takes every measures to facilitate the standard and application procedures. The process of halal certification requires commitments from the workers which include trust and integrity. The study explores the important role of halal certification on food industries performance in Malaysia. Halal certification has paved way for the hygiene food and sustainable clean industries that are experienced today. The study uses the Theory of Reason for Action to explain these roles. Literature review methodology is used to explain and explore the new area of research. The findings revealed the important role of halal certification and recommend more food companies to tap the advantage of increasing their sales by making their companies certified in order to make their food hygiene, safe and healthy. Publication Framing of Covid-19 Pandemic News in Malaysian Local Newspapers(UKM Press, 2022) ;Wesam AlmahallawiNorhayati Rafida Abdul RahimAs a reliable means for the public, mass media is a critical medium to be used to disseminate information predominantly in crisis. At the end of 2019, the world faced a new pandemic, later known as the COVID-19 pandemic, after scientists identified the virus that caused this infection. The media coverage of this cause accelerated and became more expansive after the spread of a group of shocking pictures of infected cases who died on the roads and streets due to this disease. People have turned to the mass media to find out what was happening, and at the same time, media outlets interacted differently with this pandemic. In particular, this study seeks to reveal the news framing used by the most popular local newspapers in Malaysia. This study, therefore, examines the five mainframes developed by Semetko & Valkenburg: conflict, attribution of responsibility, human interest, economics, and morality. This sampling involves the News Straits Times and The Star from April 1 to April 10, 2022. This study concludes that both newspapers NST and The Star reported the Covid-19 pandemic with all the five generic frames in this order (attribution of responsibility, human interest, economic frame, morality frame, and conflict frame), where the attribution of responsibility frame is the most used frame, and the conflict frame is the least used in both media outlets, the second significant result in this study concludes that NST used these generic frames more than The Star newspaper. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Gender Stereotypes on Women Negotiation Skills in Conflict Resolution: A Case Study at IUCM(Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, 2005)Norhayati Rafida Abdul RahimIt is argued that gender plays an important role in identifying personal performances to the extent to which their commitments and trust are judged by their organizations. A research on Malay women in Malaysia found that a stereotyping which describes performances and positions, is being shaped by Islam as the official religion in the country. The finding has significantly raised a question to this paper which aims to investigate on how and to what extent Malay Muslim women are positioned in organizations? What would be a matter which underpins credibility and performance of women in solving conflict? Is there any significant differences between men and women in their perceptions toward women's negotiation skills? In so doing, this research had gathered data based on interviews wit11 30 respondents. This research found that the positive stereotype is given to women negotiation skills. It indicates that changes occur in stereotyping in the society which is positively developed in solving conflict. Methodology: This research is descriptive qualitative research, that employs a mixed-method approach used the interview and survey as a tool of data collection.Main Findings: The findings show that Al-Aqsa channel believes that its role is an extension of Hamas Media and its vision in service the Palestinian cause. Based on the survey analysis, Besides the positive aspects of Al-Aqsa TV in the promotion of collective awareness of the Palestinian cause and its national identity. But it was considered as having less attention given to the traditional Palestinian clothing or Popular Proverbs, and cultural and historical heritage, and to allocate more of its programs to focus on heritage and folklore.Applications of this study: This research was conducted on the main bulletins of Al-Aqsa TV channel that affiliated to Hamas and broadcast from Palestine, with the consideration that Al-Aqsa Headquarter located in Gaza City. A vast segment of our people is vulnerable to Zionist attempts by the Zionist intelligence that target the Palestinians' national identity done by media technology specialists, and psychological tactics through social media are used to gradually remove the national identity of the Palestinians and replace it with a bogus one. Israel nowadays employs social media and frames its messages to target all the five components of the Palestinian national identity: the right of return, the right of resistance, the Arab and Islamic dimension, the Islamic and cultural heritage, and the sovereignty of the State its borders. This paper analyzed the Israeli Arabic formal social pages, namely the coordinator, Avichay Adraee, Avichay Adraee, and Israel in Arabic. ShahwanNur Huda FaujanPandemik COVID-19 telah membawa impak besar terhadap aspek sosial, ekonomi, dan psikologi-spiritual masyarakat, terutamanya golongan B40. Dalam Islam, isu kemiskinan adalah suatu keadaan yang mesti diatasi kerana kesannya memberi impak yang besar ke atas individu, masyarakat dan keunggulan agama Islam sebagai penyelesaian masalah sosial, ekonomi, politik, budaya dan sahsiah. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti keperluan khusus dalam menangani isu-isu pasca COVID-19 yang dihadapi oleh remaja dan wanita B40 di Malaysia. Kajian ini juga meneliti model pemerkasaan golongan wanita dan remaja konvensional sedia ada khususnya dari perspektif Barat dan kritikan terhadapnya. Selain itu, fokus utama kajian ini adalah meneroka kaedah ataupun strategi Islam serta peranan rakyat dan pemerintah dalam membasmi isu sosial, ekonomi dan psikologi spiritual secara bersepadu bagi mengisi kelompangan kajian konvensional yang lepas. Hasil analisis keperluan tersebut, model pemerkasaan kemandirian golongan B40 dicadangkan untuk dibangunkan dan dinilai dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan kehidupan mereka dalam konteks kelestarian komuniti Madani. Kajian ini dilakukan menggunakan kajian perpustakaan dan analisis kandungan daripada bahan sekunder seperti artikel jurnal, buku dan akhbar. Hasil kajian awal ini mendapati bahawa keadaan sosio-ekonomi pasca COVID-19 yang mencabar memerlukan pendekatan holistik yang tidak hanya terfokus pada bantuan kewangan, tetapi juga kepada aspek pemerkasaan kemandirian dan kelestarian komuniti ini secara bersepadu. Oleh yang demikian, program pemerkasaan yang komprehensif mampu meningkatkan kesejahteraan dan kemandirian individu dalam komuniti terpinggir. Namun, terdapat kekurangan kajian empirikal yang secara spesifik memberi tumpuan kepada B40, remaja dan wanita di kawasan perumahan kos rendah pasca COVID-19 dari kerangka Islam secara menyeluruh. Oleh itu, penyelidikan ini diharap dapat mengenal pasti keperluan khusus mereka, dalam membangunkan Model Pemerkasaan Kemandirian Wanita dan Remaja B40 menurut kerangka Islam secara bersepadu. The variety of social media in it can be one of the best references for publishing various information. The internet as a public space that can be accessed by many people requires accurate and unique information. Majlis Bandaraya Seremban (MBS) has its local content style. At the same time the Bandung city government; through the Regional Work Unit (SKPD)) chose to apply a unique local content using Sundanese and Sundanese idioms in the Instagram account to convey information. A variety of information and work programs are campaigned and can be well-accepted by the public. This research uses the descriptive method to describe and analyze Instagram account management, information selection. This research consideration of using local content and its impact on the city of Seremban and Bandung. The subjects of this study are the staff and leaders of Majlis Bandaraya Seremban and Bandung Regional Government Work Unit (SKPD), especially those who handle the Instagram accounts. Communication messages related to the current situation in Seremban and Bandung can be conveyed more quickly, and well-understood by people in Seremban Bandung and everyone should do it, especially the Majlis Bandaraya Seremban, and Bandung City Government as a source of information. Being smart in using digital media, thus, is the key to the success of public communication strategy applied by Majlis Bandaraya Seremban and Bandung Government to the citizens of Seremban and Bandung in the hope that there will be good communication between them; communication that supports each other, reciprocity, and mutual benefit. These issues could bring damage and harm the peace and unity in a society. Although it does happened continuously either with or without certain intentions, it should never been taken lightly particularly in a plural country like Malaysia. Riots, demonstrations and fights among the people are usually caused by these issues. This paper studies how the media play its role in reporting on racial and religious issues in Malaysia. By referring to two cases; Lina Joy apostasy issue and the translation of the word ‘God’ to ‘Allah’ issue, a content analysis was conducted to observe on how these cases were written. It was found that both issues were carefully written and that the Malaysian newspapers reported only the facts which mainly sourced from a decision made by the Courts. GhaniNoratthiah NordinAdolescents involved in sex before marriage and having children out of wedlock with abandoned babies are increasing every year. Adolescent girls living in moral rehabilitation center has also an issue because the number is increasing. This study aims to identify the appropriate inventory to measure the process of repentance youth who were involved in adultery through analysis of Structural Equation Model. To ensure that the constructs are well-constructed, study design uses a combination of qualitative and quantitative. The first phase uses a qualitative approach involving focus groups to construct the instrument. Qualitative findings identify eight level in the process of repentance, al-Ghazali had identified namely, the guidance of faith, Islamic guidance, moral guidance, muhasabah, muatabah, muaqabah, mujahadah and istiqamah. Next, was to develop a self-assessment inventory using five-point Likert scale that list 49 items. The study involved 284 respondents who were involved in sex before marriage. However, Structural equation modeling analysis had produced Fit models that show only 13 items of which five items for combinations construct of understanding, five items for combinations of action and only three items to construct of repentance. The results showed construct as combination of understanding is significant and positive relationship with the constructs combination of action (r = 0.78) with repentance constructs as moderators of a weak positive relationship but on constructs combination Understanding (r = 0.22). Implication of this study suggests that understanding the components driving someone to act in the process of repentance. However, understanding the constructs showed a positive influence on the construct of self. Instead, taubat can not influence action in the context of the entire repentance process. WahabIn this advanced era of communication technology, users connect across time and place. In the organization, mobile phones, smartphones, tablets, notebooks, and personal computers have become very important, allowing people to share and access documents easily and fast. This article is written based on the management case study approach that exhibits a multi-national company, Mondelez Malaysia Sales Sdn. Bhd. The company is a part of the Mondelēz International group of companies. Mondelēz International brings the brand that offers quality, convenience, and truly delicious taste to consumers worldwide. One of the brands is Cadbury chocolate. In 2014, Mondelez experienced social media's negative aspects concerning an anonymous report on porcine DNA, which is found on its two batches of Cadbury chocolate. Mondelez's reputation suffered, and it lost approximately RM36 Million within ten days. Later, the announcement is made by the Ministry of Health that the Cadbury chocolate is Halal and safe from any non-halal substance. This case study wishes to identify 1) the impact of social media, 2) the crisis management by Mondelez, and 3) the impacts on the reputation that the department of corporate communication has to deal with. This case study suggests that there should embody efficiency, sensitivity, the psychology of communication, emotions, and ethics of communication. Simultaneously, the stakeholders, corporate governance, and standard operating procedures must be in place. Publication Need Versus Interest In Communicating Islam Via Traditional Art Performance In Negeri Sembilan. In the organizational context, the impact of social media addiction is considered to affect organizational commitment. This study determines the relationship between social media addiction and organizational commitment among the employees in Lembaga Lebuhraya Malaysia. The questionnaire has been used as a method in this study. Out of two hundred and forty-seven (247) employees in Lembaga Lebuhraya Malaysia, one hundred and fifty-two (152) employees have been selected equally to be sampled for this study using probability sampling technique that is simple random sampling. Through correlation analysis, it was found that there was a weak positive relationship but significant. It shows that, although the employees in Lembaga Lebuhraya Malaysia are pretty addicted to social media, they still have organizational commitment. Thus, the management in Lembaga Lebuhraya Malaysia does not have to worry about the employees' commitment. Even though they are using social media, they are still committed to the organization. Publication Negotiation of Needs Towards Halal Talents Sustainability(Emerald Group Publishing, 2022) ;Norhayati Rafida Abdul Rahim ;Ismail Abdullah ;Noor Azrina Yahya ;Muhammad Nizam Awang ;Siti Zubaidah Muhammad ;Safiyyah Ahmad SabriNorfaizah Nadhrah AhmadPurpose – This study aims to identify the negotiation parameters of needs for Halal talents in Malaysia and proffer solutions on the sustainability of halal talents in Malaysia. Design/methodology/approach – A focus group discussion was performed among seven Halal talents from the industries of various schemes. Using the theory of inventive problem solving (TRIZ) analysis approach, a functional model, as well as causes and effect analysis, is generated by the participants. The model is translated into a contradiction matrix to obtain the necessary solutions in developing a sustainable framework for Halal Talents in Malaysia. Findings – The cause-and-effect analysis reveals that poor career path, lack of training and poor salary structure are experienced by the participants. Research limitations/implications – Having had vast categories of halal industries, this research focuses on nine schemes under halal certification JAKIM which excludes banking and tourism. Practical implications – It is suggested that the implementation of mutual benefits should be in place to enhance positivism among Halal talents in the near future. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Kovil PillaiFamily situations are viewed as a starting place to have harmony and peace in life. Love and care are much needed by' children from the parents. Nevertheless, we cannot avoid from having conflicts, which may occur due to certain circumstances of dissatisfactions among the members of the family. This situation may be worse if parents ignore or do not solve the problems. Consequently, children will be victims of family conflicts. They might choose to escape or confront the conflicts by any means, especially from peers. Therefore, this paper views negotiation skills as one of the possible techniques to solve family conflicts. Negotiation involves communicating with family members, exchanging opinions while fulfilling everyone's need without losing anything. As to study this situation, an empirical research had been done on 400 students (teenagers) which were selected randomly from four states in Malaysia which are categorized into two; rural and urban areas. This study will identify the perception of youth towards family conflicts, the perception of youths toward parents' negotiation skills and the reception of youths toward the negotiations process. These findings are hoped to provide guidelines and approaches in solving family conflicts.
